If it has can anyone explain exactly how to me...I am getting all sorts of biased answers from ppl I know saying that since 9-11 the gov. can basically access information on you at any time for any reason. The reason I ask is that I am interested in seeing a counselor at a guidance clinic (which is government funded I believe) and I have ppl telling me I should seek out a private counselor because there is no real confidentiality in government programs anymore. I was just wondering if this is true, I guess I dont even really care that much and will probably still go either way, but the suggestion did get me interested and I thought it may be worth knowing. So what exactly are the reasons that your personal information can be disclosed by a counselor these days?

If America is so hated, then why do we have millions of people risking their lives sometimes to get here. It reminds me of what Reagan said one time in front of the Berlin Wall during the 80's "Our country may have it's problems, but we have never had to build a wall to keep our citizens IN"

I was called for Jury Duty 2 1/2 years ago but not since. Most everyone I know has been called twice since then. I know it sounds weird but I really want to go! Is there any reason why I haven't been called? Or can I increase my chances in any way?

The US dollar is at an all time low

Oil may be traded shortly in Euro's not in US dollars - Meaning the US will have to buy Euro's with a weak dollar and then buy oil based on the market and availability of Euro's

Right now 1 US dollar buy 0 . 69 Euro's

The only hope for the US is therefore to flip into an massive export market - somthing it has not really had to do in more than 30 years

How long would it take for such a massive switch over ?

The US will end up a nation with substantially less purchase power It will be the end of "dollar diplomacy" and such short falls will sooner or later impact military spending

This is more or less what happened to the former USSR

- China still holds a significant amount of US dollars and debt - The relationship should oil be traded in Euro's will flip and China will dictate to the US in terms of monetary matters etc

Why after all those millions spend over several months was Ken Starr not able to find anything to charge Clinton with murder?

Don't you think Ken Starr, Republican, would have loved to use that against Clinton?

But even after all that time and all those millions of dollars all they could get him on was on a BJ.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Bono_Copyright_Term_Extension_Act

In 1998, the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act (better known as the Mickey Mouse Protection Act) increased the length of copyright from the already high life of the author plus 50 years or 75 years for a corporation to life of the author plus 70 years or 95 years for a corporation (after publication; it is 120 years after creation if that date is earlier).

The Constitution granted power to issue copyrights only for a limited amount of time and the term of the first Copyright Act was 14 years (with one extension of 14 years if the author wished to expand it later on) and only applied to American citizens.

Aren't these more recent terms far too expensive and shouldn't we go back to a modified form of the Copyright Act of 1790 (but still restricted to only apply for Americans, not foreigners)?

My son was arrested on 3 felony counts of sexual assault on a child. This people started everything on some text messages on a cell phone he had and they found on her daughter of 15 years of age. Text messages were not meant for her, but her father insisted they were, he came after my son with a vengeance and found a girl to lie about her and my son having sex 3 times. This father has been to my sons ex girlfriends and tried to get them to say negative things about him and they want to know who else he has been out with so they can get them to testify against my son. Now he has that charge and people here in our community are so ugly about it. He works for EMS and they had a presentation at the school and the principal there told him to leave the premises. He did not want him there, so my son left. Can they do that? He has not been convicted or indicted only arrested on this. What are my rights as far as coming back after these people? Thanks in advance.

I'm all for this, as I hardly throw out any rubbish (One bag a week) But what are the odds that our council tax will be reduced if they do introduce it?
What about families that have no choice but to throw out more waste? (Such as nappies and more food packaging) Is it really fair on them?

Gee, it turns out that Marx was a poor man and wanted to take what those people who _worked_ for a living had for himself.
