I think you have it wrong, most liberals think they know everything even when they have no experience and no real idea about the reality of things.

What topic are u talking about or do u mean in general. Maybe u should look at the top answerers and ask them if they are military since thats what u are saying. I think military tend to know more than the average person flipping burgers cause well we are well traveled and most of us are well educated. I have been to over a dozen countries and met people from all over. At the age of 19 i was responsible for saving peoples life in an emergency after about 2 months of training without a Dr or nurse around just me, u have kids that are in charge of millions of dollars of equipment on ships, planes, tanks etc. Its funny cause i have worked in civilian hospitals with nurses right out of school that think they know everything and im just some idiot of course the military nurses and Dr's know different. Experience dictates knowledge gained not a book

I forget who the comedian is but I remember this line.
Those of you that think you know everything annoy those of us that do.
When accused of knowing everything by some illiterate I simply point out that I do not know everything. It only seems that way as they know nothing. It's so easy to annoy an idiot!
Keep watching Reality TV. The dumbing down of the western world.

Wow! Wikipedia says that there are approximately 1.4 million people in the US military. If you've spoken with most of them, that's pretty amazing. I'm impressed!

I agree with billybob. There are some military personnel that might know more about the situation in Iraq because they have been there to witness that. If that is what you are refering too.

Because they usually do!
They have been out in the world and have seen things for themselves, while you have played Halo 3, smoked pot, and only know what your mommy and daddy tell you.

I met just as many civilians that think they know everything as I have military people. I don't think military has anything to do with it. It's just their personality.

It's probably because the armchair generals and keyboard commandos who've learned their knowledge of the military from watching history channel and bad Hollywood movies get annoying over time.
