Why do extremists on both sides have to insult the others? One can really wonder how this question would be taken if the words "Bush supporters" were replaced with any other demographic.
What if it was "Women" instead?
What if it was "Blacks"?
"Jews"?
"Democrats"?
"Muslims"?
"Gays"?

Is it because people make choices to be Bush supporters?
People make choices to be members of religions too. Is it ok to blanketly question whether Jews are capable of critical thinking?

Do you get positive reenforcement from this? Do you think that you are helping Bush supporters to see your point? Are you actually trying to promote polarization because people who scream "Crucify them!" are stupid?

I couldn't agree more that saying "crucify them!" is a display of unintelligence, but doesn't arguing with a fool prove there are two?

This type of question will not help anything. These tactics only galvanize people's ignorance.

If they were capable of critical thinking they would debate REAL issues and not continually resort to the unending choir of childish name calling and personal attacks. They have nothing going for them and they know it. That is why they do and say what they say and do.

and who told you this??? i think a much clearer example of critical thinking is the unwillingness of bush supporters to give hillary, a knowing willing participant of the clinton..."legacy" a pass as most extremists do from the following

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
your example makes no sense as most bush supporters dont think that way and i hope you see the point of my illustration that they infact do.

I think some are but it seems most are maybe mentally lazy.
I'm sure some are stubborn or are afraid.

No one has all of the answers. There is always risk. It exists no matter what we do. The best we can do is to research, think, discuss, debate, and use our hearts to guide us?
