No Marx wasn't poor. He was one of the most influential political thinkers of the last century and is still relevant today. Without Marx there would be no payed holiday,no American new deal and no 40 hour work week. Capitalism gave some things up out of fear for Marxism which they currently are working hard to take back but that's not the point. Marx changed the world, also in America and Westren Europe. The Stalinist countries from the moment Stalin took over had nothing to do anymore with the theories of Marx.

Marx was a man who saw the plight of the worker and in a stupor came up with his plan. Not unlike GWB.
