You cannot be a president of the United States and be cruel for no reason-But then again most U.S presidents have been. There's a lot of people who need care. He IS one of them. If there isn't something wrong with him, then there's something wrong with us. This, to me, is a very serious question.

We elected him. What does that say about us?

His supporters certainly stole Florida in 2000 long before election day by removing tens of thousands of legitimate black voters from the voters list, but we elected him in 2004 despite four years of sociopathic behaviour.

Bush was first elected in the 2000 presidential election, and reelected for a second term in the 2004 presidential election. He previously served as the forty-sixth Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000

Fear. After 9/11 Bush and the people surrounding him convinced the American people that only he and the republicans could save the country from the terrorist. Remember how the security threat colors went up and down, up and down and America was at war and further attacks were imminent? Fear was ingrained and George and his people knew the people always supported a war time president. You tell a lie long enough and hard enough people believe. Unfortunate isn't it. But they knew the American people and what would work in getting him reelected. By the way, do you hear of the threat level now? No, because he got his second term.

Well, history is full of crazies and maladjusted people who got to high political positions. From ancient Rome we had Nero, Herod the Great and Caligula. And these guys were really weird. In medieval Europe we can count on King John the Lackland who definetely acted immature and violent. [King John of the "Robin Hood" stories]. And more recently we had Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Begin, Saddam Hussein and Ahmanijedad. So in politics, any idiot can reach high powers. An engineer. doctor and lawyer have to go to a specialized school. In politics, even Homer Simpson or a Stewie baby, "Family Guy" bad tv show, can aspire to power. Scary.

The money handlers & the extreme left wing & extreme right wing groups, who are actually the ones controlling America(money), needed someone who was short of intelligence, of shallow mind, & very little education. And then, along came bush. Their perfect figurehead. Cheney & his group of neo-cons controlled & manipulated the uneducated & undisciplined bush. As the great plan to control the oil fields of the middle east started to unravel, many of the rat pack started to defect or were caught up in criminal or unethical positions. bush, not having any idea what-so-ever to do, decided to continue in the course that they put the country on. We,as a nation, have been suffering ever since. Have we ever been in a worse position in the world, in our own country?

"mentally ill"?
Where did you dig up that fact?

Listen up - I DON'T like the president.
I also don't think he is very intelligent - after all, he majored in history but clearly lacks the intelligence to understand why he's neck-deep in Iraq - the warning signs were there.

However, nowhere have I read a medical journal or legitimate news report that states Bush is "mentally ill".

So, for now, if you have something intelligent to say, then say it.
Otherwise, zip the lip.
Remember...the Patriot Act was designed to clamp down on people like you and me.
(psssst - they really are watching us!).

How did a mentally ill person spell every word right in this question?

I don't think you have a single speck of evidence that the president has a mental illness. You are just using that term as an insult and - honestly - that is beyond cruel to people who have bona fide mental illnesses.

I don't agree with your insult but... fyi...all decisions are not actually made by George Bush. His cabinet pretty much runs the show. I'd also like to say the other answers follow suit with the insults. it amazes me........ when i read some of the other answers how others get satisfaction out of insulting others. does it make you feel better about yourself? I'm not being negative; I'd really like to know. it troubles me.

would you people stop talking sh** about our president... yes he can do say some really goofy stuff and might not always do something that you would do but bottom line he is your president and to people in other parts of the word Americans must look pretty foolish when people like you are don't trust or RESPECT your leader. thanks that all.

Because of a very smart Karl Rove.

He used dirty tricks against Ann Richards in Texas for the Governor race and then played dirty in 2000. He (Rove) loves to play the "Gay" card and how about the Max Cleland dirt (showing a 3 limb amputee from Vietnam with Sadam Hussin and Osama bin Laden)

I can't wait to see what the republicans "have up their sleeves" for Senator Clinton next year!
