Candidate Edwards said no new nuclear power plants will be built if he is elected. Can anyone put forth a lucid argument against nuclear power using current design criteria? We have 30+ nuclear power plants being operated at sea with ZERO accidents(Carriers and submarines) If the USN can have a perfect safety record using high school graduates as the operators,do you really think it is that dangerous when compared to global warming being accelerated by the burning of fossel fuels for power generation?

I had a miscarriage after a 2-month pregnancy because the fetus didn’t have heartbeat anymore. My OB/GYN doctor referred me to her colleague for the surgery due to her booked schedule. This doctor performed a D&C surgery on 07/28/2007. Since then, I haven’t had my period. After surgery, my OB/GYN doctor didn’t do any follow-up checkup on my uterus condition because this health center doesn’t have proper ultrasound equipment. She kept telling me that if I didn’t bleed after surgery, there should be no problem. She wanted me not to worry.

I realized that health center can not provide appropriate service, so I went back to see my infertility doctor on 10/22/2007 and was informed that my uterus has been seriously damaged. I need at least 3 re-construction surgeries to open up my uterus and restore its function. Besides, he can not promise me if I can get pregnant again.

Can anyone tell me if this is a malpractice?

I had asked another question about Christianity and Politics. I explained how religion and politics were not separate to first century Christians; I meant for this observation to have strong implications for the reader and my question. However, I feel many misunderstood what I was asking, so let me rephrase.

Many Christians feel the country will be better off ran by a Christian. However, it is hard to tell who is genuine, and religious beliefs do not necessarily ensure leadership and good decision-making. The question then is: should we revert (as many have) to the view that God's Kingdom needs to be manifest on this Earth and continue to vote for Christian presidents, feeling they are the best representatives of the country? Or should we except the country is based on the constitution and not the Bible and church and state are separate and vote for leaders completely regardless of their religious beliefs but because of their policies?

What would the first century Christians think?

And considering it's such of tantamount importance to our economy so they say ... seems like what the oil companies are doing therefore is called "EXTORTION"

I am about to graduate soon, and am thinking about attending OCS for the Navy. I'm concerned though about making payments on bills that I already have (car, loans, etc) while I'm going through the program. How much does an OC get paid while they are going through the program?

It seems like there are a number of people on Y!A that "call foul" and say many of the things police do is entrapment.

So what is your definition of entrapment? Did you get your knowledge of entrapment from someone that doesn’t know what it is, or did you bother to look it up for yourself to truly understand it?

I’m curious. BTW, this is a U.S. based question.

Does God play a role in politics ? You bet , and in all arenas of politics , but let's discuss this arena , Yahoo Answers .

Sometimes people mistakenly believe that God wanted no role in politics because Jesus said ' Render unto Caesar that which is his' or words to that effect . But when He said that He was referring to taxes , not life or the way we live it .

Heck , it's quite obvious though that many have let their 'politics' override their belief and trust in God .
While at the same time there are vigilant Christians holding on to what they have left , and doing their best to awaken others from their slumber . They fear that if our people of our great nation don't awaken , then we'll all be left facing the wrath to come . They see that abortion is legal and can't quite figure how any 'Christian', left or right , can support Abortion while also claiming to be 'Christian' .

I think it's fair to ask -- Do you Honestly Believe That God Supports Abortion ?

Hey thats a pretty good deal when you can supply weapons and training around the world for rebels and guerilla organizations and when it backfires you start labeling them as terrorists and invade sovereign countries that are harboring "terrorists."

On The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert mimics a right-wing, fundamentalist Christian (more specifically, Catholic), satirizing not only political issues and paradoxes, but religious ones as well. Believe it or not, he happens to really be a Roman Catholic Christian in real life. In fact, it has been reported that he teaches Sunday school each week.

When asked by an interviewer about his religious views, to summarize, he explains that he does not criticize religion itself, but how politicians use religion, often in hypocritical ways. He then makes the comment that Jesus' Kingdom is not of this Earth, and implies it should be uninvolved with politics.

For first century pagans, Jews, and Christians, there was no such thing as separation as church and state. Caesar, for example, was not just a ruler: he was divine, the son of god, and the savior. For Jews, YHWH was the true God of the world, who would one day send a Messiah to overthrow the pagan powers of the day.
