I used my debit card at a shady local pizza shop, my order came up to $10.70, I remember taking note of it. I was stupid and misplaced my receipt. While making the transaction I DID sign a store receipt stating I agreed to pay 10.70. My bank statement says that they charged me more than i signed to pay, do I have any legal standing against them?

I live in CA and I'm looking for a room via craiglist and I found some pretty decent rooms. (Both apartments and rooms in houses) But most of them state no overnight guests. Is that legal? I mean, I'm paying for the place. So its my room. So shouldn't a girlfriend or friends be able to stay a night or two every once in a while? I understand there should be a limit on how much/long they stay. But to so NO overnight guests? Is that legal?

Just curious.

Before the war, we easily could have bought the oil in the open market. And that would be a fraction of the cost that we have incurred with the war. Please try to explain why in the world do you believe that, or is that just an empty battle cry of the left?

ok theres a guy who at the time was 24 and his gf was 14 and they had intercourse. they stayed together for 3 years and lived with her mother and paid bills at that home. they recently just broke up about 4 months ago. anyway an investigator went to her work and told her he was working on a case against her ex. he asked alot of questions to her about how many times they had sex and how old she was when it happened and she was honest about it and she signed the statement. they also talked to her mother and she said that she consented to it (even though we know here in the state of texas it dont matter) now my question is if the girl is unwilling to cooperate against him if it goes to court can he still be convicted of statutory rape? if he pleas not guilty..she doesnt want him to get into trouble even though they arent together anymore...what could happen?

think about it. we haven't even began paying for this iraq and terror wars. we are borrowing 3 billion dollars a day from china to pay for them. now hillary wants to give 5,000 to every baby born in america. she also wants to give us mandatory universal healthcare. don't forget about educational pell grants, the welfare state, and our social security is still broken remember.
what are they thinking. what are you thinking if you are supporting any of the candidates the media is forcing down our throats. with ron paul obviously being the only "2nd tier" candidate the media won't talk about that has a chance to win because of his recent fundraising success and presidential campaign record volunteer numbers of 50,000.

please you people that support the path our government wants to push us, can you please explain your rational. it is all so clear to me. am i not getting it? or are you not getting it

It comes from both political parties so don't just pin it on on party. What can we, as citizens do, to make sure we are not being lied to and cheated out of our money, by the very people WE voted into office. We are the people and we should have the power to change our government. Any suggestions?

Bismarck was commissioned in 1940, Yamato in late 1941. Bismarck was actually lost 8 months before Yamato was commissioned, but this is a hypothetical question, so that's okay.

Bismarck was faster, Yamato was bigger and had bigger guns.

Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove, Sean Hannity, John Ashcroft, Newt Gingrich, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Fred Thompson (and his trophy? wife), Rudy Guiliani, Mitt Romney, Dan Quayle, Joseph Alito, John Engler, Ward Connerly, Joe Lieberman, etc.

All of these people (and more) are hated by the left. Oh, there is no denying they hate them. After all, they have been trying to perfect the politics of personal destruction on these people. And before you on the left mention Bill Clinton, I will mention that Bork, Quayle and Thomas were long before Clinton.

And then the left has decided that trying to uphold the Constitution is hatred? How did those people who spew against the above people get to decide what hatred is?

Tough topic, but I think it isn't good. I got into a discussion recently with a couple other people about it.

Personally, if I found out for some reason or another me and my wife couldn't have kids, we wouldn't have any artificial way since that is wrong and not natural.

What do you guys think?

i'm almost finishing high school i got 1 year left but i been here long enought that my life is like been another american, but i started to think about college and i'm top ranked in school, and what stopping me from going its that i dont have a social security, should students in america who are here for learning not wasting time with drugs and all those stuff be at least able to go to college, i mean i been in US 7 years, longer then 95% of all immigrants currently living in US, so it means when i got here america had no issue with immigrants, should us who are here longer then like 12mil immigrants be at least be heard cause my plan in here aint to steal no one job is to at least go to school, do u think i should be heard?

I am unsure if I have a warrant or not. I left one state and have been out of the country in Mexico for three months. I am now relocating to another state when I return. Can I be arrested when crossing the border for a financial related felony charge? Also can I be arrested in one state on another states warrant? If so, what happens to my two kids if they are with me. I am a single Mom leaving a bad relationship and need to make sure my kids are safe with someone if they do arrest me.

She is the one stirring up such an uproar about Desperate Housewives' last episode....a character referred to Phillipino doctors in a desparaging way....the network has already apologized, but this "Senator" seems to want blood....read a few things about her on the net....sounds like one who likes to make mountains out of molehills. She made a comment that the show had "desicated" the "world-class Phillipino doctors". She, by the way, has a sister in the USA who is a doctor....guess that is the reason why she took this so personally, and is trying to create a ridiculous uproar over a comment that was written into the script as just a joke....I am sure it was not anything the staff at ABC ever even considered would be blown so out of proportion, in the way this "Senator" is attempting to do! She needs to lighten up....sheeeeeesh! The show is a comedy, Senator, in case you hadn't noticed!
