She is the one stirring up such an uproar about Desperate Housewives' last episode....a character referred to Phillipino doctors in a desparaging way....the network has already apologized, but this "Senator" seems to want blood....read a few things about her on the net....sounds like one who likes to make mountains out of molehills. She made a comment that the show had "desicated" the "world-class Phillipino doctors". She, by the way, has a sister in the USA who is a doctor....guess that is the reason why she took this so personally, and is trying to create a ridiculous uproar over a comment that was written into the script as just a joke....I am sure it was not anything the staff at ABC ever even considered would be blown so out of proportion, in the way this "Senator" is attempting to do! She needs to lighten up....sheeeeeesh! The show is a comedy, Senator, in case you hadn't noticed!

If she has been elected to our Senate, she needs to learn to focus on more important issues than television. There are people dying in our streets of starvation, Aids, drugs, the alarming illiteracy in America ever since the Supreme Ct removed prayer from the schools in the '60s, and let's not forget a WAR with very real TERRORISTS who want to completely annihilate this country and all its citizens. She needs to get out of her glass house or mansion (or wherever she is living on our tax dollars) and deal with issues that really affect the nation, or she has no business having the gall to call herself a United States Senator. That title carries with it a certain requirement of behavior that she is definitely NOT living up to. Call me a "bigot" if you want, I just think there are a LOT more important issues to focus on, and she better start focusing on them, if she wants to remain where she is. Sounds like she belongs in a Phillipino volunteer group, NOT the US Senate! Go home, Miriam!

It wasn't funny. It was indeed an insult to Philipino Doctors.
