Yes, you can be arrested in another state on a warrant from a different state. It usually doesn't happen, and when it does, it is usually by accident: you are picked up for something in the new state, and the old warrant is discovered.
However, the states are coordinating things better these days, post- 9-11, and so I wouldn't count on being safe. I particularly would not count on being able to pass through customs at the border. I would think you'd be ok if your passport is in order, but again, I would not count on it.

Technically, a warrant can be local, statewide, nationwide, but I'd say 99.9% are nationwide. So my guess is your warrant is nationwide, meaning you can be picked up any where in the US.
If you do not have a relative or friend that can take your kids, your kids will be placed in foster care temporarily. If you can, I'd try and find a relative or friend that could take your kids if you are arrested on the warrant.
If you want to check and see if you have a warrant, call the Sheriff's Department or jail in the county where the warrant is out of. They should be able to telll you and if you're willing, you can set up a time and place to turn yourself in.

Depends on the agency. If you are wanted on a felony warrant, then it is very, very likely. Some departments aren't required to arrest on out of state warrants, but if you're sure that it is a felony, then you are kind of screwed.

If it's a state felony warrant, they can get you in any state. If it's a state misdemeanor warrant, they can as well, but they often don't bother entering the data into the NCIC, so they may not.
If it's a federal warrant, it is automatically nationwide.

There are state & federal arrest warrants. If your crime is serious enough the DA from the state you feld may petition the US DOJ to issue a federal warrant for your arrest. They can pursue you everywhere then including extradicting your from Mexico.

You can and will absolutely get arrested if you are pulled over. It does not matter where you live or where the warrant is from. The officer is going to know as soon as dispatch runs your information.

IF you have a felony warrant, and your where abouts is known, the state with the warrant will decide if you are picked up and if they want to extradite you back to face charges. IF its a federal warrant it can be served anywhere anytime.....any children with you would be placed in CPS.....George

It doesn't reach your home state. However, if it is posted on a national database, it will show if your home state runs a warrant check on you.
