We ask that the government undertake the obligation above all of providing citizens with adequate opportunities for employment and earning a living.

The activities of the individual must not be allowed to clash with the interests of the community, but must take place within its confines and for the good of all. Therefore, we demand:...an end to the power of the financial interests.

We demand profit sharing in big business.

We demand a broad extension of care for the aged.

We demand...the greatest possible consideration of small business in the purchases of the national, state and municipal governments.

In order to make possible to every capable and industrious [citizen] the attainment of higher education and thus the achievement of a post of leadership, the government must provide an all-around enlargement of our entire system of public education...We demand the education at government expense of gifted children of poor parents...

The government must undertake the improvement of public health -- by the greatest possible support for all clubs concerned with the physical education of youth.

[We] combat the...materialistic spirit withn and without us, and are convinced that a permanent recovery of our people can only proceed from within on the foundation of The Common Good Before the Individual Good .

Energy companies receive between $10 - $35 Billion in U.S. Taxpayer Subsidies. Kenneth Lay / Enron was the largest career contributor to the Bush Family.

Bush vetoed the SCHIP program for poor kids because he stated it moved health care closer to Federalization.

Basic health care is a right for ALL United States Citizens.

Laissez-Faire Corporate profits (unregulated, unrestricted, unaccountable) is a perceived right that the ultra wealthy have bestowed upon themselves. And why isn't the Bush administration's unprecedented support of corporate welfare perceived as "Federalization for the Wealthy?

In a recent speech, John McCain criticized President Bush's call for Americans to go shopping after 9/11. McCain stated that the President should have urged Americans to service after 9/11, not shopping.

My liberal roommate always tells me my politics are "self serving." And its not just him, I've heard other liberals make that accusation to conservatives. Why do liberals beleive this? Because I think people should be responsible for their own healthcare, the goverment shouldnt spend billions on social programs, etc. this makes me self serving??? He's the one that wants society to pay for everything. How are we conservatives the self serving ones?

I've been attempting to liquidate my mothers estate and have been having lawn sales of the smaller items that auctions don't want. A friend advised me to throw away any electric operated items, even if they work (like toasters, electric blankets, heating pads, etc.), and not sell them. I asked her why and she said something to the effect that if someone buys an item and it shorts out and burns down their house or gives them a shock (or worse), I could be held liable. Is this true?

Really it is an outdated arguement. With conservatives having more seats on the Supreme Court... wouldn't they have over turned Roe vs Wade by now if that is what the Republicans wanted?

A friend of mine, decided to join the Marines. When the recruiter asked him if he had ever tried Marijuana he said yes,2x about 6 years ago.
Before he signed his contract his classifier asked him the same question, so he gave them the same answer that he had done it 2x about 6 years ago, he signed his contract and everything was fine
So, yesterday I was talking to him, and he was very worried that his decision of being honest could have cost him an opportunity of ever becoming an officer or per se an E-8 or E-9. Is that correct information?
Will the fact that he actually told the truth become an issue with his military career?
My friend said that 99% of the individuals that come across lie about it, so should he have lied about it?

Permission to dock the Battleship Iowa in San Francisco as a floating museum to our Navy and the role of the Iowa in World War II ... DENIED.

Permission for the Navy's Blue Angels to participate in an air show over San Francisco Bay ... OPPOSED

Permission for the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon to film a recruitment commercial on California Street in San Francisco ... DENIED.

And now this? I am sure that as in all of these instances, I will get some liberal answers attempting to excuse this behavior. Traffic…..safety…. right. Well, at least they are not still spitting on returning soldiers a la Vietnam.

They take absolutely NO personal responsibility for their actions. They want the Government to clothe, feed, educate, evacuate, and give them Advil when they are sick.

PLEASE...we Conservatives think we should do these things for ourselves. We work hard and take pride in our ACCOMPLISHMENTS. We do not look to others to do things we can and SHOULD do for ourselves.

His party doesn't want abortion for any reason....even if a medical doctor says that the life of mom and baby are in danger...(which is the government in health care)

But.......he doesn't want to provide health care for the children after they are born?

And I don't want any foolish conservatives talking about people paying their own way, people having babies for welfare money....yada yada yada....

We are talking about CHILDREN who have no control who their parents are and how they live their lives.......

Explain this to me please!
