In a recent speech, John McCain criticized President Bush's call for Americans to go shopping after 9/11. McCain stated that the President should have urged Americans to service after 9/11, not shopping.

I agree with John McCain here. Not only that, but I have to say again that I think that Bush should have focused on going after bin Laden (the actual culprit behind the attacks) rather than invading a country that was in no way involved in the attacks. Oh, well! I guess getting all that oil was more important than getting justice for 3,000 who burned to death.

A little late the senile old fool is though isn't he? I'd have more respect if he had voiced his opinions prior to now instead of licking Bush's *** like the rest of the republicans were back then.
Sure, it's completely idiotic and makes no sense that we are in a so-called war for our very survival, yet the commander in chief's response to the nation is to go shopping.

Well you know, McCain is running for election and everyone else is jumping on the bash-Bush bandwagon so McCain might as well, too. But to go back 6 years on something that was said by Bush is kind of ridicules.
