Someday, but not soon. The South Korean government is starting to discourage refugees from the North. If the floodgate ever opens, the influx of millions of destitute people will destroy the South's economy, and that would have a huge impact on the global economy. Add to that that the DPRK refugees will have the juche ideology imprinted in their DNA and have developed into a completely different culture than the South. Any reunification has to be carefully managed. You may see it in your lifetime..

This is a good question. I think that the possibility is there for that to happen in the not so distant future. The leader of North Korea is not very mentally stable and is bound to cross the line too far with one of the worlds superpowers eventually. If that ever happens and the current government is relieved from their earthly duties, then perhaps the worlds superpowers will be able to unite the north and the south and deliver the north Korean people from their oppression.
