My grandfather and grandmother came here as a young couple through Ellis Island, as did many of yours, I'm sure. My grandfather worked his "you know what" off to move to the USA with his wife to start a new life here. For that, I am proud.
I am also proud we have the label as the world's melting pot. I see so many families immigrating to our country every year to start a new life for their family and family's descendants.
BUT, I am disappointed to see, especially at this volatile time of war, illegal aliens coming here. They work here without the government's knowledge, don't pay income taxes, and often send all the money back to their country. For all we know, any nameless worker could easily turn out to be a terrorist.
Now I ask you, WHY would anyone support these people to come here and do this?
And for the record, every single advanced country has some sort of borders policy. Whether or not it is enforced efficiently is the only question.

Now that Alan Greenspan has confirmed what Democrats have said about Bush for years, will republican's claim he hates America too?

--------------------------------------------------
Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan sharply criticizes President George W. Bush's administration and Republican congressional leaders in his memoir for putting political imperatives ahead of sound economic policies, several newspapers reported on Friday.

"Little value was placed on rigorous economic policy debate or the weighing of long-term consequences," Greenspan writes of the Bush administration.

I got a "following too closely" citation highway in Atlanta, GA. It involves three cars. Mine was the third. When police came, the other two drivers said there was a traffic, and that i hit the back bumper of the car in the middle, the middle car hit the back bumper of the one in the front. The Police told me that the front car owner told him that there was a traffic and that he experienced one impact . So Police said if that is the case , I must have started the hitting from the back .I told Police that the front guy stopped all of a sudden, the middle car hit the front car , and that there was a impact which led to the front car moving forward and the middle car comoing back , and that i was the third car coming frome behing. I applied my brake , the middle car while coming back hit my front bumper. My front bumper has the greatest damage , my bumper was bent . the middle car has his back bumper paints removed, no damage. the front car back bumper was less vissibly bent. How can

All Active military deaths during the clinton administation averaged 938 deaths per year.

All Active military deaths during the Bush administration (up to 2006, as the 2007 numbers are not conclusive yet), including deaths from war, averaged 1465 deaths per year.

So, the death rate hasn't even doubled from 'peacetime' to wartime.

Does this put things in perspective for any of you, who are complaining that we need to pull our troops home because of the "high" death numbers?

Especially Bill?

So many in our party wanted to believe he was a man of vision like JFK who Bill liked to say was his hero.
Hasn't his involvement with advancing and signing NAFTA, which has sold out the working class in the U.S., which was created by GHW Bush made you question his involvement with this One World Government(NWO, PNAC, whatever you want to call it)????

I know I had great expectations but when he did this it was apparent to me that BOTH sides (R)&(D) are involved in this movement.

Do you really expect anything different with Hillary??

Here in the Immigration category there's always some rabid nationalist saying horrible things and it makes me wonder if it's racism. I'm not an illegal immigrant but I know what it's like to be Latino and an immigrant. I also know people who are here illegally but who are good, hard-working people and the only law they broke was coming here illegally or overstaying their visa. It seems like "illegal immigrant" is the new homosexual or atheist in the United States. By this I mean how in the past people who were considered gay or heretic were despised and even burned at the stake. I don't understand. Even U.S. Citizens serial killers and pedophiles are not as hated now. Why all the demonization? It wasn't this bad before 9/11 and all the immigration issue debates on the news.

I often wonder if, like lemmings, many Americans will assume that government, medical and military guides are our protectors, when in fact, they may very well be planning a trap for us.

Have you not read Agenda 21? The Georgia Guidestones? Are you unaware of the widespread "professional" theory that earth is now overpopulated, and must soon be purged?
