Or is Greenspan now officially as "Fuzzy Headed Socialist Liberal Who Doesn't Understand Business."

Ford is one of my alltime favorite Presidents and the last Republican I ever voted for, Muggy. He used the veto 98 times to force cuts in Pork. And he's a good example of how effective spin has become. Ford beaned a bystander with a gold ball, (he always had a really bad slice,) and never lived it down. Dick Cheney shot a hunting partner in the face and it's already forgotten.

I expect within a few weeks the neoconservatives will manage to discredit fiscal conservatives to the point that fiscal conservatives are as hated as liberals.
Fiscal conservative is likely going to be the next dirty word in politics. The party of moral values will be against no good commie liberal, gay, fiscal conservative, leftists in 08.
Hide and watch.

Alan Greenspan had a long an honored tradition of being one who truly understood how money, and in particular, our economy truly works. He was a true virtuoso when it came to being able to guide the federal reserve, as imperfect as it was, in the best interest of our country. Unfortunately, most, if not all, will not understand his mission or his true intention. Please get ready to hear crickets as a response to your question...
he dared to call the truth as he saw it... unforgiveable... he will be now pissed on and ridiculed to the point of being a clown... sad...

Most of what has been quoted has been obvious to all but the awareness challenged. But what I loved was the comment that of all the presidents he served with, Ford was the "closest to normal". Love it.
