A family member of mine randomly makes up stories about being molested as a child. She is in her late thirties and claims the abuse happened to her as a child.

She has thus far accused her own brother, her uncle, her step dad, and her father as well as a few family friends. When she was thirteen, she claimed her stepfather raped her, but a medical examination determined that he had not.

I do believe she is crazy. Lately, she is saying that her father, a recent widower, has been making passes at her, calling her and talking about his "needs," etc. I happen to know for a fact taht her father has been out of town working and has not had the opportunity to do these things to her. She has three sisters- none of which believe her. She is ripping the entire family apart. The sisters are much younger than she is and remember being interrogated by her as children about male family members.

She has not filed a police report against the father.

I am looking for clearly detailed and intelligent reasons that can make the case. Trying to anticipate and respond to how your opponents will say each of your reasons is not valid enough for given what has ensued. Lastly plead do not make any illogical logical leaps like "did you forget we were attacked on 9/11?". If you use 9/11 as a case, then you must make the link that iraq committed 9/11.

Do yourself a favor and first answer the above question as that alone should be the earmark of what's your definition of Free Speech . And FYI , this isn't a trick question and I don't have any hidden 'gotcha' type surprises . Should there be anything against the rules about quoting Rush or any other man ?

Well I admit I lost the link , but it's not lengthy or difficult to remember so I'll just go ahead . Apparently a republican house member was prevented from sending out letters to his constituents because they contained a quote from Rush . Congressional members have the privelege of gov't paid for postal charges . But to avoid misuse they have the 'Franken Commission' (note : I may have the exact name wrong) , controlled by the Democrats , that makes sure the service does not get abused . I wouldn't call 'quoting another man' an 'abuse' . But the commission specifically pointed to that as their reason for a denial of services .

CENSORESHIP or no problem whatsoever ?

I have read over and over on here people saying that undocumented immigrants have "too many" kids. I want to know, how many is too many, and, isnt that the choice of living in a free country- the right to reproduce?

If you are objecting because they may get public assistance is SOME states, would you support legislation that would not increase cash benefits based on the number of children one has?

Such a model has been used in Wisconsin for several years, along with a contraceptive program allowing women on public assistance to get any birth control they need (10 year IUD, sterilization, etc). We have noticed that here, our "poorer" families have 1-2 kids. There are exceptions, but, few.

WHat do you think?

While I realize many people are having accounts suspended from unnecessary and unwarranted claims, how is it that moderators choose to reply to contestors AFTER you've posted your question?

I posted a message to appeal my suspension almost 3 hours ago. Someone else posted an appeal for a suspension as well about 1 hour ago and has already received a message stating claims.

Do they just ignore people with legit claims and answer everyone elses?

This is extremely infuriating to say the least. Should my answer come before those who post appeals after mine or do I get the luxury of sitting and waiting because Yahoo researched my appeal and found no wrong?

What gives?

Basically, whenever my father leaves his bike anywhere locally, this idiot (same person each time I believe) pins a little note saying the same thing every time, which is: "This bicycle is poo and wee".
Now my father is getting on in years and this is quite upsetting for him even though no actual damage has been done. On that basis is it worth getting the police involved? Would they even care?

Okay, suspend reality for a moment, and imagine this:
You're the president of the US. It doesn't matter what year it is, so don't ask.
You have just received intelligence from a covert CIA operative (or maybe NSA agents) that terrorists are planning an attack on a large U.S. city (it doesn't matter which one). If the attack is successful, it could easily kill more than a million people, at the very least. Maybe it's a nuclear attack, maybe biological. Doesn't matter.
You have just found out that said terrorists are hiding in a building in a certain foreign city. You have missiles that will reach there in a matter of minutes. Said terrorists are planning on moving, but you don't know when, and you don't know where.
You COULD fire on the building, and hope you kill them. However, this building that they're in contain more than two hundred innocent civilians, including women and children.
What would you do?
If you need me to expand on this, I can. Just ask, I'll add details.

"All that we have mentioned has made it easy for us to provoke and bait this administration. All that we have to do is to send two mujahidin to the furthest point east to raise a piece of cloth on which is written al-Qaida, in order to make the generals race there to cause America to suffer human, economic, and political losses without their achieving for it anything of note other than some benefits for their private companies.

This is in addition to our having experience in using guerrilla warfare and the war of attrition to fight tyrannical superpowers, as we, alongside the mujahidin, bled Russia for 10 years, until it went bankrupt and was forced to withdraw in defeat."

"So we are continuing this policy in bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy".

And it was to these sorts of notions and their like that the British diplomat and others were referring in their lectures at the Royal Institute of International Affairs. [When they pointed out that] for example, al-Qaida spent $500,000 on the event, while America, in the incident and its aftermath, lost - according to the lowest estimate - more than $500 billion.

Meaning that every dollar of al-Qaida defeated a million dollars by the permission of Allah, besides the loss of a huge number of jobs.

As for the size of the economic deficit, it has reached record astronomical numbers estimated to total more than a trillion dollars.

I am in serious need of some information on child custody laws and I have no idea where to begin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....If a child's parents are deemed unfit then who will the government turn to? Do they try to give custody to family members? If there is an adult sibling(25) could the sibling fight for custody?

I remember signing an agreement that says they can fire us for any reason, though it didn't specifically mention discussion of pay. I was not given a copy of this agreement for my records. In a college class, a professor told us it was against federal law for an employer to forbid discussion of salary or pay. Is this true? I feel like naive employees are being taken advantage of.
