Are there any public groups that monitor such things?

The details: He has 2 children by a woman who he paid child support to (he always paid on time etc...) Two years ago he moved back in with her in an attempt to "work things out." Things did not work out, so one month ago he left her again. She called the police and had him arested for non-payment of child support, for the two tears they lived together - even though he was the only person in the household with a job, and therefore paid ALL the bills for those 2 years (and prior to that had never missed a payment)
He was arrested and released the same day (2 weeks ago). And was given a court date for today...
So he went to court, and this is what they did to him:
He is incarcerated INDEFINETLY. The only way he can get out of jail is to pay around $3500 in back child support that he does NOT owe (patial payments are not accepted). He is not allowed work release even though he has a regular local job.

I am Canadian so I sympatize that a country which spends on average $4,200 per person for health care through a corrupt system can not see a country like cuba provides national healthcare to all at almost the same services with such a small GDP. They also have very affordable medications.

Does that make any sense?

I am on probation. I am just about finished. My record is clean. This is the question. I leve in a guesthouse that is on the property of another tenant. When my PO comes to check me out she has to cross the other tenants property to get to my door. She calls me by phone and I go out to escort her past the other tenants property and dog.
Her job is to check on me.
The other night late, she showed up. I escorted her in. There were two of them. One came right to my door with me. The other walked past my door and out of her way to peek into my nieghbors bedroom window. There are no curtains but the window does not face the street. I said; she is a snoop. She said "yes I am" The other PO said "where were you?" What is my legal position? She is abusing her access to my apartment to spy on innocent people. The other tenant saw her. When she left he came and asked who that was. I told him. He said if she does it again I will not let her on my prope

I don't know the specific laws, but if a company issues a personality test or "integrity test" as a pre-employment screening or as part of an application process, doesn't it follow that the applicant should be allowed to know how they scored on the test?

Most psychologists and psychometrists agree that the results should ONLY be interpreted by a clinically trained psychologist anyway.

So if a person has a right to know why they have been turned down for a job, then they should be allowed to view the results of a psychological test they took for a company as a condition of employment - right?

The company I work for has a network for all of these different people.
› Ability Network
› African American Network
› Asian Network
› GLAS
› Hispanic Associates Network
› Military Network
› Parents at Work
› Women's Network
But none for me. Is this right? Is it ok for my demographic not to be represented. I'm fine with these associates having their groups. But I feel excluded. Am I not entitled. I feel I could be passed over for promotion, what if my manager is a member of one of these groups and finds out I'm not. Maybe I won't be seen the same way. What do you think?

I dont believe in having a president that has no control over their own spouse, how are they going to control all the issues in the country if they cant control their own spouse. I have wanted a women to be president for a long time, but I think that we need a president that we can look up to and show respect to. I cant give my vote or my respect to a woman who was cheated on by her husband in front of the whole world and had DNA testing done to prove it and she just looks the other way and "stands by her man," when he didnt even stand by her. If she would have dropped him like a bad habit then she would of had my vote. I dont want my daughter looking up to someone like her, I want my daugher to have people in her life who treat her good and not betray her so I dont want Hilary as president to be a rolemodel to the girls of our country, I want someone with some self-respect to be president.

Okay a few days ago i started an ebay buisness with paypal. I listen 100 items before i actually had them them. Everyone payed me and i have like 5000 bucks. I spent 2000 on a car and another thousand on a vocation to florida. But i was never able to get the items becasue they went away. So now all these claims are being made on my paypal about un recieved items and stuff. I buisness failed. I still had 2000 in my paypal account in which paypal took to repay everone else but im 3000 grand in the red. This looks like fraud. If i pay back the money like 100 a month can anything happen to me?

If your child came home from school saying "we had a test today and I got 7 out of 18 questions right!"

Would you consider it a passing or a failing grade?

This is what Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn say. Do agree? If so, why? If not, why not?

More detail as I understand it: They refer to the Federalist papers. They quote the "majority faction" wording in them, saying that protection is needed from "majority factions" among other factions. They interpret "majority faction" to mean the poor or the masses.

Why are people not completely ashamed to accept "services" from the government?

Such as welfare, housing assistance and other services.

To me it would be like admitting I was a complete failure. Maybe its just me, but I would rather work 3 jobs than take money from someone else for doing NOTHING

Just got a parking ticket - £60!
The notice at the meter had the prices per hour and the words 'no change given'.
It was £2.40 for 3 hours but I paid £3 (and did not receieve change)
I recieved the parking ticket for exceeding 3 hours (by only minutes) even though I had paid in excess of 3 hours.
The notice did not say 'no change given and no extra time given for added payment'!!!!
Is this legal? Has anyone appealed successfully for a similar case?

My friend was "layed off" from a job with no possibility of reinstatement. This employee had never been disciplined, never warned, he was told he was being layed off because he "showed a lack of urgency" even though his supervisor asknowledged that his work did get out on time and his quantity exceeded several other employees. He was told by another employee with the company that another supervisor and the owner of the company tried to talk his immediate supervisor into not letting him go but when he failed to listen they too got on board. Within hours of his lay off a sign was posted that they were accepting applications. Is it legal to do this to an employee? If he wasn't performing his duties to the satisfaction of his supervisor shouldn't he have been offered another position or at least counciled before this measure was taken? Basically he was fired. His supervisor did not like him and awarded his position to another employee that he got along better with.

The Democrats, as is well-known, have proposed to have the government nationalize health care, which is the biggest threat at this moment to everybody's health. If they succeed, would you be willing to purchase your health care from those heroic businessmen who will offer it on the "Black" Market?

you have to understand that we are responsible for alot of what has happened in central america. we might be different countries but our policies here influence the quality of life over there. as long as they are poor they will come its human nature. maybe we should consider trying to solve the problem with a number of different actions rather than just sending them home. its easy for us to judge them, but if we were in their shoes you wuld do the same thing too.
