i think having a woman president in the world today would make our country look weak.you have so many country's where a man is more dominate. i think the female president dealing with those country's would have a hard time getting her point across. there was a time here where the men took care of the women although it has changed. and i am not saying women should not step up.....
DON'T get me wrong as a female i would love to see a female win the election and run the world.it would be a better place.
NO i will not vote for Hilary because you are right Bill's behind would have been out the door AND THAT THERE SHOWS HER WEAKNESS.
but we can't get any worse with our president as we have now.NO MORE BUSHES

Yes, I am voting for Sen. Clinton. It's funny how the young look at her standing by Bill and think that's weakness. They just don't get it. You obviously have no idea what strength it takes to stick with it and repair a marriage damaged by infidelity. It's much easier to pick up the phone and call a divorce lawyer. Maybe, just maybe, she actually believed in those vows she took. Maybe, just maybe, she wasn't going to let Bill ruin her chances for her own political career. A divorced Hillary would never be elected President, a still married Hillary has a very good chance. And oh, how horrible to be so ambitious that you won't let your cheating spouse ruin your own dreams huh?
Hillary Clinton was humiliated in front of the entire world, something 99.9% of women will never experience. She handled herself with grace and a LOT of self-respect. In fact, that's when she really got my notice and the beginning of my admiration for her.
And as far as controlling your man? That is so ridiculous. I hope you never have a chance to find this out, but a man who is by nature a cheater will find a way to cheat on his wife. Unless she has a GPS system chip installed in his *** so she knows where he is every second or chains him in the basement she isn't going to "control" anything. Men who are cheaters will cheat on a beauty queen who is the best thing he ever had in the sack - he will cheat because it's something "different" - which is what cheaters crave. This is perhaps the most specious argument against Sen. Clinton that there is out there right now.
I have a nineteen year old niece who thinks Hillary Clinton is the shyt (her words, not mine lol). I asked her about what you are talking about some time ago and she just laughed at me. She said "Oh, Aunt Linda, you are so silly. Don't you know she didn't divorce him because she already knew she wanted to be President?" I asked her if she didn't think that was underhanded and she said "No, I think it was brilliant. Why should that cheating idiot ruin her chances?" I silently thanked God that my niece has an intelligent and clear head on her shoulders.

See this is what is wrong with Americans who vote...Why would the way a spouse handles his/her spouse matter in terms of being the President, shoud'nt we elect the best man/women for the job...not the best Husband or wife..I know image plays a role..
And if Clinton gets elected I will run down to DC buck naked...and I live in Philly..

It doesn't have anything to do with how she would do as a president. I think she would be fine. These personal matters did not need to be dragged into the media as they were. I'm not saying it is ok to have an affair. But it was not grounds for impeachment and all the attention. The current president has caused alot more problems and there are grounds for impeachment.

I dont actually like Hillary so I dont think I would vote for her for any reason unless it was one of the racist republicans running against her then I would vote for her. With that being said the fact that her husband cheated on her has nothing to do with politics. You are not supposed to control your husband and I dont want anyone controlling me. MY partner is supposed to guide me in the right direction not control my directions. Any women would stand by her man!

Sorry; Not a woman - But I think the question begs the other question; Regardless: If a woman could not vote for Hillary for forgiving her husband's infedilities; Should they feel any more compelled or (logic would dictate to my mind even less compelled) to vote for an alternative if it were a well-known adulterer in past marriages like Rudy Giuliani; Who, rather than seeking any kind of reconciliation with the women he'd made a commitment to - Just tossed them aside like yesterday's news??
Nobody is perfect and many women will clearly feel compelled to make an imperfect choice if that is the case - But IMO I would feel more compelled to vote for the women whose value of herself is questionable in the context of her value for her marriage; Versus the man whose value for any woman is clearly extremely questionable in any context...

The issue here is, you can't control your spouse. If you think you can control your husband or wife you are seriously diluded. Marriage is not based on control, but mutual respect and understanding.
This is just one of those things that are out of our control. A woman who thinks she can prevent her husband from cheating by controlling him just winds up being a whiney, jealous, overbearing pain in the ***. Who the hell wouldn't want to cheat on her?
And secondly, it's none of our ******* business. That's why it's called a "personal" life.

Her forgiving her husband has nothing to with her being president. If anything, it shows that not only is she compationate, but she is able to keep her commitements despite to circumstances. Actually, it shows she would make an excellent president.
Bush, on the other hand, is so stubborn and foolish that not only did he not listen to his own father who told him not to attack Iraq in the first place, but he dismissed every person that had any kind of expertise on this war and started it anyway. Thousands of young men and women dead over a lie. Now, that is unforgiveable.

Who cares about their personal life? If she can forgive her husband, then great for her, if she can't, then whatever. Why would this have any bearing on how she could run the country? She did a good job of running the country those years her husband was in office, so I'm pretty sure she can run the country for the however many years she'll be in office. I understand where you're coming from with your daughter, but you can't tell her who should and shouldn't be her role model, that's her decision.

I don't see this being an issue. I'll vote for a candidate regardless of any issues with his/her personal life. As long as I feel he/she can do the job, I'll vote for that candidate :)
