I don't see any Pros out of this. Only cons and further tension and very near future warfare.

Once the IRGC is labled a terrorist organization.....

war vs iran for sure.

not a very smart move by the Bush Admin...but then again, what have they done that was smart?

By labeling them a terrorist organization the president has cut them off from the international financial networks. As a result they will have much greater difficulty in transferring money abroad and even inside Iran.

This means less money for funding terrorist groups. It also means that the key paramilitary organization that sustains Iran's regime now has a funding crisis.

Exactly _what_ 'cons' do you see here?

The Revolutionary Guard is a business organization as well as a military one. They basically fund themselves. If the U.S. can take away the business funds, the guard will have to seek money elsewhere. It also allows them to be arrested outside of Iran just because they are now labeled terrorists.

able to restrict the flow of money into the Revolutionary Guards and put restrictions on who can deal with them.
A pro is that the US is able to put more pressure on countries and businesses selling them products and equipment. It makes them pay more on the black market.
