There is a legal case that is undergoing and it seems a nurse and a member of social services are either in cohoerts or are both just out to jepordise this as there are a number of details, very serious issues that are being disgarded and there have been many lies told by them so far...............what can be done about this?

Anyone find it funny why the self-proclaimed leader of the free world professes to be a godly man, yet you never see or hear him meeting with the Pope who is the holy of holy's...

Why would Bush not want to meet this man more often. Surely between them both, world peace would be achievable?

Jimmy Carter created this worthless department. Can anyone say that public education has improved since 1979?

What a waste of money. We can use this money to make more tanks and guns to fight the Islamo Facists!

Let local governments pay for education like the old days when education worked in this country. Before the Unions and Democrats wrecked it.

Why is it that people believe everything someone tells them? There is no reason for folding the flag 13 times, for it is actually folded16 times and the US Flag Code does not state a reason, only that it is the way to be folded. There is no sybolism to any of the folds.

There is no 21-gun salute at a funeral. A 21-gun salute is fired by cannon-hence the term gun. A funeral has three rifle volleys consisting of any amount of people, not just seven. Three people is fine. the 21-gun salute is for presidents and dignitaries.

There IS A LAW STATING WHO RECIEVES THE FLAG. The only time a flag does not go to that person is if they want someone else to get it. Check it out-do a google search for a Burial Flag Application...It has the Next-Of-Kin rules right there.

Also, the three rifle casings do not stand for anything, except the three volleys. And according to the flag code, nothing should be put inside the flag, as it is "not a vessel or container."

Whoopi Goldberg tried to justify on "The View" today (her first day) that what Michael Vick did with his dog-fighting enterprise was similar to Puerto Rican and their cock-fighting (first off, if a white man had said that, he'd be run off TV), in that it's indictiative to the part of the country he comes from. So's marrying your first cousin, but it doesn't make it right.

I come from a country with universal healthcare and it is NOTHING like some of you claim it is.

I have had far worse experiences in the US and I have what is considered wonderful coverage here.

Why don't you people do some research before making such ridiculous, uneducated statements?

Look at the 10 best educated states, the 10 wealthiest states, the 10 states with the best SAT scores, the 10 poorest states, the 10 least educated states, the 10 fattest states, the 10 fittest states, then over lay that with the blue state-red state divide of the last few elections. It presents a very interesting pattern. The best educated, the most fit, the wealthiest, the most productive seem to be overwhelmingly blue states. If the liberal Democrats are such terrible people according to the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity and the Republican majority on this web site, I would like for them to explain why this is so. The facts seem to show that your better off living in a blue state than a red state for the most part. Your opinions please.

"There is a policy called Wet Foot/Dry Foot for Cubans that states if a Cuban trying to come to the United States makes it to US shore they will not be sent back to Cuba, if they are however caught out at sea by the Coast Guard they may be sent back. When Haitians are caught at sea or on US soil they are almost always sent back to Haiti. The Haitians claim many are killed on return. They were also pointing out that US Cubans are getting special treatment from the Bush administration and use the Luis Posada case as an example. Luis Posada was a terrorist that blew up a passenger aircraft killing everyone on board and also set off bombs in hotels in Cuba. He has been in exile in the US for some time now and is not being extradited back to Cuba or Venezuela for this crime. The Haitians are also mad at the Bush administration for sponsoring the violent overthrow and forced exile of Haiti’s President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Hundreds of Haitians have died as a result of this."

I think it's a good idea. I don't make enough right now to afford health insurance, which is something like $200 a month. For me, that's a big chunk of my take-home...that is 1/3 of rent. I can't afford that. Luckily I'm young and healthy, but if I have a medical emergency, I'll go bankrupt. It would be nice if I could go to the doctor and pay a reasonable fee based on my income, with the government subsidizing it.

I don't believe in free handouts...I'm not on welfare, food stamps, or anything. The only thing I take are subsidized student loans (I have to pay them back) and veterans benefits (I served my time for these) I just think that health care should not be a benefit for the rich.

Then why do so many people hate the idea of "socialized" medicine?

I believe they are in violation of some law and just risk not getting caught. Anyone n\know for sure ?

This is the background of my situation: I responded to an ad for a room for rent. I met the girl, liked the place and told her I would move in. I gave the landlord $80 for deposit. I gave the girl $350 for rent, that she would deposit on the first of Aug, (as good faith money), even though I wouldn't be moving in till the 15th. No lease was signed. I was to sign when i moved in. I told her to HOLD THE CHECK UNTIL I MOVE IN. Unfortunately, I changed my mind due to certain circumstances. I told her a week before, that i wouldn 't be moving in. I know, bad on my part, but things happen. The landlord deposited my deposit check, so that was lost. I cancelled my check for $350, since I would not be moving in. Now, after many hostile emails from her, she is telling me that she is going to file papers for small claims court for the $350.

Will this stand in court since there is no written documentation and no witnesses...and I verbally told her to hold the check till I moved in.
