Larry "Wide-Stance" Craig and Fred Thompson?

Wouldn't that be the perfect way to restore honor to the Executive Branch?

Quotes form prominent Republicans during Kosovo:
GW Bush:
"....it changed into a nation building mission, and that's where the mission went wrong. The mission was changed. And as a result, our nation paid a price. And so I don't think our troops ought to be used for what's called nation-building." --2nd Bush/Gore Presidential debates

GW Bush:
"Victory means exit strategy and it's important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."--Gov. GW Bush(R-TX)

Tom DeLay-1999: "You can support the troops and not the President."

Joe Scarborough dicussing Kosovo: "Well I just think it's a bad idea. What's going to happen is they're going to be over there for 10,15, maybe 20 years."

Sean Hannity discussing Kosovo: "Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life."

Or is he just trying to smooth over the end of his term by keeping the fallout of increasing foreclosures from hitting before the next election?

"Offering federal aid for strapped mortgage holders, President Bush is proposing to help hundreds of thousands of borrowers hard hit by the housing slump."

Or is it just another aid-to-abusive lenders mis-named like his usual initiatives?

The press has done a horrible job exploring the tribal culture in Iraq. Tribal Identity is an important factor and crosses religious lines in Iraq and explains in some instances why cooperation between Sunni and Shia are occuring. The Tribal uprising against Al Qaeda in The Anbar began when a Tribal Sheik refused to Marry his two daughters to Al Qaeda leaders and the Sheik was killed. In the Arab Culture Blood Feuds are as real as the Hatfields and McCoys Feud in West Virginia, only more deadly. Al Qaeda was also bad for business because their fundamentalist brand of Islam Al Qaeda practices runs contrary to tribal perrogatives. Since Al Qaeda is comprised of outsiders are Iraqi women indirectly responsible for our success?

1. The right to vote
2. A well-informed electorate.
3. The availability of good quality information on which voters can make choices.
4. A real choice between significantly different candidates.
5. The non-availability of widespread misinformation.

Is one of these elements not necessary? Are all of these elements present in countries that we unquestioningly believe to be "democratic"?

I work for a university, and noticed on my paystub that they are paying me for 40 hours when I only worked 12. I called the department and they insist that they didn't make an error. So do I just keep the money?

I think the person who made the mistake is afraid to admit it, for fear of getting in trouble.

The self serving interests on the left really bothers me, in a cheap attempt to get elected they are all bashing Bush for going into Iraq after they had approved the war in the first place and are now screaming to leave immediately. This is called 'spin' or B.S. because in reality they know that whom ever is elected will not immediately pull out, the simple fact is that we must stay as long as it takes to secure Iraq politically and militarily or we will face the most horrific situation that we have ever experienced as a country.

It's no longer how or why we got there, it's how we are able to secure the country and slowly leave over the next few years and let's be realistic you lefty people, we will never completely pull out with Iran's growing military threat.

P.S. To the Bush Bashers; Mr. Bush went into Iraq with the same information the lefties in congress had to vote 'yes' with and a lot of that info was collected by the Clinton administration. Stop your sobbin'

At the end of the war in 1945, France had no army, no arms, no navy, no ships, and no planes. And Allied Supreme Commander Eisenhower refused to give France a drop of oil or anything else after de Gaulle would not send support for our soldiers during the "Battle of the Bulge".

Yet, somehow, one year later, France had all that stuff and could send an army half way around the world to invade Vietnam, chase Ho Chi Minh and his government into the jungle, and set up a puppet government. Your history books and your newspapers will not tell you where France got all that stuff, but the fact is that there was no possible source other than an executive order by Harry S. Truman!

When a French division was surrounded and captured at Dien Bien Phu in 1954, many of the prisoners were speaking German! SS war criminals had joined the Foreign Legion after WW II!

In his memoir ("Mandate for Change"; 1958), President Eisenhower wrote that over 80% of the Vietnamese supported Ho Chi Minh.

More details - This is complicated. I am a great asset to the company. The boss likes me and my sales travel actually takes me the 1000 miles to my Fiance' once a month. My boss might be happy and say great - we need more coverage in that area, or he could say no more travel to that area, or worse your fired. Any experience appreciated!

When I read this article, I couldn't believe it....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/29/AR2007082902234_2.html

EXCERPTS FROM ARTICLE:

This has been a tense summer for the men who arrive each morning at the Center for Employment and Training in Gaithersburg, operated by the nonprofit CASA de Maryland. Many have no legal documents. They have anxiously followed the news of Virginia communities passing laws against illegal immigrants, of stepped-up factory raids and deportations. And they hear the angry voices.

"A guy hired me the other day to do some painting. I got in his van and right away he turned on the radio. It was one of those stations that is full of hateful talk against immigrants. I just sat in the back and said nothing, but it made me feel like a Jew in Nazi Germany.
