If your Canadian, how come can you fight with the US Military ?
That, to me, makes no sense ....

If you're a Canadian and you want to join US forces, all you have to do (if you have no criminal record and all the necessary immigration papers) is apply to them, like you would for any other job. Maybe it makes no sense to want to get killed in Irak, but that's a choice. (Also, and if I remember correctly, once you're in service, and the moment you step in a war zone, you may request US citizenship: the usual lengthy wait is wavered).

Every nation has those for and against the U.S. I served America for 27 years and am proud to have worked with and been side by side with the Canadian Military. The politicians make the decisions and policies. The Military service men and woman only carry them out. The Canadian Military members dont fight us and are not against us. In fact I'm glad they are on are side. Policies may differ, but we still work and train together.

You question is too vague. I am a US Soldier who has worked with Canadians.

I will try to answer.

1) NATO, Canada is part of NATO. Canada is fighting in Afghanistan under NATO.

2) Terrorism is a problem for all, not just the USA. Most of the attackers on 9-11 came through Canada. Showing that terrorist are in Canada as well.

3) Soldiers on these missions are also there to help rebuild. You can disagree with the invasion, but your disagreement means nothing because the fact is, it happened. Now it has to be fixed.

4) Canada is engaged in Afghanistan. That part was fully sanctioned by the UN.

5) I get the impression that your real problem is with Bush.
The US Military is not Bush.

Being a US citizen is not a requirement to join the US armed forces. If someone is still a Canadian citizen, and lives n America, they can join our military, and possibly get their citizenship to the US expedited by doing so.
