I've never heard of Ron Paul anywhere outside of this board so I'm guessing the answer is no.

Yeah but he needs your vote. I believe Ron Paul to be the best choice for America. He is the only experienced candidate that isn't part of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations). This organization is big business, big money and controls most media outlets. Instead do a search about them. To me it seems like they want to take our ever decreasing constitutional rights away and put in a dictator/puppet of their choice. Eventually they want a one world govt, controlled by them of course. America's military is their policy making attack dog, hence some of the past wars and current war, our lives = their profit. If he is not elected we may become the North American Union instead of the USA, have a big *** highway run through the country, and instead of the US dollar the Amero. There may be more consequences/theories but I'm too lazy to type. So don't take my word for it, do your own research. You can check his campaign website for his stance on issues. Also check out youtube for other info. CFR the real terrorist is a threat to our national security. Good Luck

Pardon me, I must correct you before I answer: Ron Paul is NOT "more liberal." He is more *conservative* than the fiscally pseudo-liberal (neo)conservatives (of both parties) now in power. He is libertarian; he is socially "liberal" in the libertarian sense, not the Democrat sense. His views are actually in strong conflict with many "liberal" ideals, although his *agenda* is not.
If 2 things happen - 1. all the disillusioned mainstreamers who support him - on principle and out of protest - turn out to vote for Paul; and 2. the election isn't messed with; then yeah, he could be elected in a freaking landslide. I think 1 is somewhat likely, and 2 is unlikely. I'm not going to hold my breath hoping he'll even get printed on the ballot.

Ron Paul is an interesting choice, but the problem with an active internet campaign is that most people who chit chat about there choices on the internet don't get out on election day. (We saw this with Howard Dean).
Additionally I like Ron Paul with the exception of a few of the matters he seems to whole heartedly support including his stance on health care reform. HSA (Healthcare savings accounts) do nothing to curve the rising costs of healthcare, and will have very limited effect on those who need the most help with healthcare expenses.

Yes, Ron Paul has a shot!
He is slowly becoming the candidate of choice for all those political activists that are willing & able to spend the time to research.
He is the grass roots choice and most people can clearly see that since last Feb., when he announced his presidential intentions, his popularity is growing in leaps & bounds.
Here is a current worldwide poll that shows him ahead:
http://www.whowouldtheworldelect.com/
What this tells me is the world wants to stop the wars, and Ron Paul is the only candidate that voted against the wars in the first place.
However we need to continue to spread his message by word of mouth, since the big money interests don't support him.
The only way he can win is if the rank & file voters support him with overwhelming numbers that can't be ignored.
Thank you.

Yes, he does. He one 2 of the 4 straw polls...and came in well in Ohio...that says a LOT for a person who has little to no air time on the major news casts. It means that people are getting out there and finding out about him and LIKING what he has to say because he is the ONLY HONEST one out of the bunch!
This is coming from someone whom has ALWAYS voted Democrat and I have NEVER missed any elections for Senators OR the Presidency. I have also had 4 years in the military, and I have spent time over seas. I know how precious our rights are and how quickly that Government can take them away.

Yes, but his support would have to be too overwhelming for the mainstream media to deny. The media keeps claiming he has between 2 and 3% nationwide, when it's obviously much greater. He wins most of the straw polls, and the one in Iowa was very suspicious. Several thousand people who paid $35 to cast a ballot apparently decided not to vote. Of course the Diebold machines were in use and they've been shown to be easy to hack. I agree with one of the other responders that should he get too popular, the establishment will take him out. He's a danger to the Federal Reserve which has more power than the Federal Gov't. They won't give that up without a fight

Ron Paul is the only candidate running that deserves to be in office. Hillary and Obama are awful. I'd vote for Quail before Hillary. Obama just seems confused.
I hope Ron Paul gets elected but that would make too much sense so you know what's probably going to happen.
Please!
Vote Ron Paul '08

yes his campaign is snowballing into something huge - his money comes in drips but he is very careful what he spends it on - dont be surprised to see him do very very well in the primaries also because he has the most enthusiastic and patriotic supporters in the business today who know the facts and pitch him every chance he gets - never underestimate a highly energized campaign -also almost every supporter he has becomes a volunteer because they know and believe why this man should be in the white house

He appears to be winning many straw polls beating out the so called top tier canidates like Rudy Giuliani... He also has much grass roots support, Everyone from democrats, liberals and republicans all seem to be backing him... I think if more people were informed on where he stands on the issues.. he def would be elected..
