What do you thinkof H.R. 1592, the Local Law Enforcement Act of 2007?

I broke my leg on sidewalk in middle of Wal-Mart parking lot. I thought the sidewalk was a straight standard sidewalk, and I stumbled where the sidewalk ramped down (then back up) for "cart crossing" (The sidewalk/ramp was not painted a different color to alert me of elevationn difference.)

My health insurance says Wal-Mart is liable. And Wal-Mart says that they were not "negligent" & that I fell on my own accord - therefore they are NOT liable.

Who is right?

Due to the severety/location of the fracture, I have undergone 2 surgeries & now have titanium plates/screws holding my tibia (shin bone) in place. And I can't afford to pay 100% of the hospital bills on my own.

I know they say you cant study for it. I went on about.com and it gave me some vague responses on how you could but with so many people that have taken it there has got to be a way to prepare for it. This really means alot to me to be prepared I really dont want to have to choose another mos. Can anyone help me out?

Who are they trying to kid? You would have to be blind, deaf, and mentally retarded to not believe in evolution. What do they think, it's all a scam created by a sour presidential candidate that lost a close election? How does someone be as successful as them, and not have the mental capability to accept facts? But I still wonder what the reason is. I did my own research (though perhaps trusted too much on info from the internet), and I compared a list of the states with the highest per capita college educated people with who voted red and blue last election. The results showed the more educated people voted for Kerry by a statisically significant margin. OK. I know that one does not nesecarily effect the results of the other, but the data is there. Are college teachers having a significant influence on young minds? I know I had one Anatomy and Physiology teacher who could not let a class pass without bashing Bush at least one time. I finally had to tell him this is not Political science, I paid for a biology course and you are robbing me of the education I paid for by giving me unsolicited political BS

While Detroit continues to fall victim to Corporate flight, GM is going where they can hire cheap labor. Some think this is actually beneficial to the US economy, and I've tried to under- stand that reasoning, but all I can think of is how my home town is deteriorating so fast. I live in Calif. now, but I visit relatives in Detroit. What used to be pretty residential streets now look like a war zone. The ghetto is growing.

who do you think is the best qualifyed and why?
I knew WWII vets at the va nursing home and was very, very depressed, these guy's deserved a much better end of life I have friends and family of Vietamn vets and I have changed diaper's on a few of these young Veterans from this global war on terrorism that will slow done much, but will continue at least eighteen--18 years.., just REACH they're children.

As a disabled vet that fell threw their under funded, 19th century system (did your grand-father or great-grandfather go to the same school room as your child(s) is now? How can many generations of Veterans recieve help at the same time at the same facility?

even though the secertary of va must become a full time job, I'm already with a check and would only need a real secertary from the pool....what do you think? Promise I would get the most done and I would cost nothing, only a secretary.

How do you reconcile Mexicans (and others) just wanting to "improve their lives" to American lives going down the toilet?

12-20 million illegals doing jobs that used to belong to Americans. Yes the illegals TAKE jobs, these jobs didn't just magically appear when an illegal crossed the border. Many-many jobs just started paying less..... allot less.

Americans have children to support and mortgages to pay. Illegals improving their lives are parasites on the American middle class and lower class. The sad TRUTH is that America can only take so much before we break and become just another 3rd world country.

someone stole a check out of my checkbook in my purse and wrote out a check using my signature.... i reposrted it to the police and they found out who it was and when i picked up the police report it said that they would be sending me something requesting me to press charges, well that was like a month ago and i havent heard anything... whats going on?

Yesterday Bush compared the current war with WWII and the fight against the Nazis and Japan, and that not fighting it would be immoral. Is this fair? I personally think Bush would fancy himself in the future as the lone voice of morality, and saying "I told you so" if the war in Iraq does reach WWII proportions. Do you think this will happen, or is Bush trying to make us all feel guilty and support the war and, essentially, himself? It's hard for me to see how he does compare the war to WWII, maybe you can argue for it, too.
