Who are they trying to kid? You would have to be blind, deaf, and mentally retarded to not believe in evolution. What do they think, it's all a scam created by a sour presidential candidate that lost a close election? How does someone be as successful as them, and not have the mental capability to accept facts? Do they just lie to gain support from religious groups?

I misphrased that. Most presidential candidates don't believe in evolution

What do you mean no facts? The facts are there. you learn about them in public school, where religion doesn't interfere with our learning.
We have fossile records dating back millions of years. Things changed, MAN evolved, monkeys evolved, everything evolved from a little string of proteins called DNA. Things are still evolving. Coyotes evolved molars to eat garbage. Sickle-cell anemia is evolving in Africa. Sickle-cell anemia is a disorder where red blood cells look like a sickle, or a half moon. The downside is that they clog easier, but the plus side is that they are more immune to malaria. Malaria only developed in recent years. If nothing evolves, how did people evolve a defence against malaria? Look in your 2,000 year old book, if you have the right one, and tell me what it says about that.

There is no convincing you people is there? I can't put an entire fossile record on yahoo. Beavers used to be as big as bears, monkeys changed into all of the different types they are today, and humans used to be monkeys. Of course we arent 100% sure on any of this, but that's science. We don't pretend to know everything.

It seems you are right. Many lies are told to coerce religious leaderships to come aboard, and most candidates are accustom to telling lies to rally support. Interesting how this makes religious leadership look weak, and sometimes opportunistic as well.

You must have had a difficult day at work or something, you seem a bit tense.
Christians believe God created the Heavens and the Earth and man, we have faith that this is true.
If you have a different belief that is fine, I won't argue with you, I will still believe in what I believe.

I question whether "most" of the Republican party rejects evolution. People who don't understand the Republican side of things accuses members of the Republican party of siding with the zealots of the Religious Right because of ignorance.
And liberals are the ones who claim not to stereotype. (I meant that tongue-in-cheek for those of you in Rio Linda.)

i think in advent and evolution. it is not an the two-or determination. there are various techniques that advent and evolution may well be "geared up" at the same time. My college degree is in math and physics training. maybe you does no longer be happy with the way that i in my opinion choose for to in high-quality condition the two at the same time. there is an exceedingly huge variety of techniques that Christians comprehend this. As a conservative, i like very nearly none of Obama's policies and recommendations. i'm going to pass away that there, by way of fact i ought to complex for hours. besides the shown fact that that is comfoting, in a fashion, that I regard the Republich management as a ways too "average" and doubtless no longer pushed by using conservative recommendations. to illustrate, Bush signed McCain Fiengold, whilst pointing out that it became unconstitutional. Why could the president, sworn to guard and uphold the form, sign an unconstitutional bill into regulation? that's insane. it form of feels for sure unconstitutional to me, by way of fact its usual purpose is to regulate and decrease political speech, that's the variety of speech that's the main hightly secure form of speech under our shape. It form of dovetails with the suitable to assembly, in that political businesses ought to have thoroughly loose speech, utilising funds to restriction that speech is insupportable. i'm surprised that there hasn't been a extreme constitutional venture to this regulation.

I would call that a fallacy. most Republicans Do believe in Evolution, as described by Darwin. There is a portion of the party that does not, do not ask me to explain, but they have a right to believe as they do, even if I believe they are mistaken. i only hold issue with it when they try to teach it in public schools as science

If monkeys evolved why are there still monkeys? We as Christians believe God created the Heavens and the Earth and man, we have faith that this is true. If you believe in evolution explain to me why there are still fish in the sea, apes, amoebas. Why haven't all things evolved?

Its all really simple, so simple even you can understand.
We are here for a reason. We are NOT an accident that just happened.
I'll try to explain.
Most Republicans are endowed with traditional American values they actually believe in AND practice.
This includes a belief in right and wrong and good and evil as taught by most christian churches and believers. (the lefties usually don't)
Part of the idea that you were made by an infinitely powerful being is that he didn't use evolution and zillions of years to do it in.

They Believe in the Bible, instead. (And, really, it's a minority of even the devoutly religous who are that extreme).
As an Atheist with only the most tangental expertise in the field (I have a BS, but it's in Economics), I /accept/ the current theories of evolution as probably true, but I don't 'believe' in them in nearly the same sense that some people do. Of course, I reject other, more poorly-supported, unsupported, or disproven theories, as being almost certainly wrong. That includes, of course 'intelligent design.'

answer; because of the church.
I always found church and state fascinating. People are bitching about it yet in our VA hospital's is a chapel where many demonations of religion worship at different times in the same place. Heck even our prison system has many different denominations of different religions.

after you rephrased the question, since it was not valid the first way, I think they do it for the "hardline christian" vote. I am a republican and I do not agree with the way the candidates handle the subject......but it goes for all democratic candidates too....doesnt it??? ask a dem and see if they will support evolution...
