Brian (below) So disagree... Following that course would devalue US currency to the point of causing a depression versus a recession.

There is no impending recession. If there were the solution would be to either cut taxes or increase government social spending to get more money into the economy. Since that would help pull us out of recession a tax cut can't cause a recession.

None actually and lower taxes are just that lower taxes . We all know that when he cut taxes he kept more of tax dollars collected by the states . So some of the alcohol and cigarette gas and other money that would have come back did not .

Thus states raised taxes to make up the difference .

We can not get around taxes and must do more to spend carefully on those matters that require our attention like the infrastructure of this nation .

Anytime business have a problem with a division rather then fix it they sell it and Bush is doing that to our Roads ,bridges , ports so he can make the books look good .

His business sense as proofed by his career of failures and around 300 million lost of other peoples money while he paid himself was criminal and so is his presidency .

impending recession? More proof the liberal glass is perpetually half empty. Libs wouldn't recognize a good or bad economy, they even thought Clinton left a healthy one in his wake. Tax cuts have always produced more tax revenues as well as stimulating the economy .

None at all. It has however played a big role in the continuing great economy with record low unemployment and record high tax revenues going to the Govt. because of it.

Wrong again with your Bush bashing. The tax cuts applied to everyone who paid taxes. I am far from rich. I got tax relief. There is no pending recession. Leave the fear mongering to the left wing liberal loonies in the main stream media.

Sorry, wrong again, you, me, evrybody, got a tax cut, even your rich democratic senator friends. However the only thing to make the system fair is a national sales tax.

bush's tax cut for the rich, as you called it, went to all tax brackets across the board, the rich got a bigger tax cut, but then the rich pay more taxes, and employ people,.....remember the top 10% of the rich tax payers, pay over 50% of all taxes,.....the bottom 50% pay no taxes at all,.....the poor are not paying their fare share,.....

Tax cuts for small businesses so they could give their employees (middle class) higher bonuses and/or hire more employees and give them more hours. Meaning more money for everyone.....get it, got it, good.
