who do you think is the best qualifyed and why?
I knew WWII vets at the va nursing home and was very, very depressed, these guy's deserved a much better end of life I have friends and family of Vietamn vets and I have changed diaper's on a few of these young Veterans from this global war on terrorism that will slow done much, but will continue at least eighteen--18 years.., just REACH they're children.

As a disabled vet that fell threw their under funded, 19th century system (did your grand-father or great-grandfather go to the same school room as your child(s) is now? How can many generations of Veterans recieve help at the same time at the same facility?

even though the secertary of va must become a full time job, I'm already with a check and would only need a real secertary from the pool....what do you think? Promise I would get the most done and I would cost nothing, only a secretary.

The first thing you need to come to a realization of is that the Department of Veteran Affairs is a MULTI-BILLION dollar business. Just like any government operation it has way too many layers of supervisors and way too many civil serevice employees that are deeply entrenched in their job despite their incompetence and because of the civil service structure and the unionization of the civil service employees, you can't fire them. There are hundreds of ways to save money and/or increase efficiency in the VA system, but do it without being sued for one reason or another is another story.

Your point of the VA serving today's disabled veterans being the "same system" that treated generations before is not quite accurate either.

The VA facilities I have been to were clean, well staffed and performed any and all diagnostic tests that were appropriate. They had leading edge technology and a comprehensive patient care plan that allowed the coordination of all treatment and results through a primary care physician. My primary care physician has personally called me at home in the evening hours to discuss test results and treatment plans with me. At one point, I thought maybe I wasn't getting the right information or care and payed out-of-pocket to see a civillian specialist. The recommended treatment and diagnostics were identicle, except the civillian was so back logged on patients, it would be several months before he could get to me. With the civillian facility I'd get a clerk telling me I needed to come into the Doctor's office and set an appointment for the Doctor to discuss my test results with me. We have a health care crises in this country and it is not unique to the VA, and my experience with the VA has been more satisfying than my experience with the civillian health care industry.

Yes, there are WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Afghanistan Freedom and a few minor things like Panama, Kosovo and Beirut that have their wounded, injurred or otherwise disabled veterans using the same facility, but for each group their is appropriate treatment available to include appropriate support groups.

Anyhow, from your brief disgruntled position, I would not support you becomming a temporary Secretary of Veterans Affairs as you obviously don't have a concept of the scope of the job.

there are countless issues that dictate what the VA can do. for one the medical care you get or won't be waiting to get relies upon lots on income. Even retired vets won't be waiting to get lots if any help by way of fact of income, various pronounced what could take place with the arriving election and there are some applicants who will if something bypass the destructive way yet what can a president do? they could propose variations yet its as much as congress to make the variations. Presidents get the blame for something that is going incorrect whilst its congress that reasons maximum of that. The VA desires a great form of variations and a few are going on. the comparable person who grew to become into working Walter Reed does not even enable card for Christmas to bypass to VA sufferers there ( for a soldier form enjoying cards) basic well being care shouldn't harm a great form of vets which at the instant are on inner maximum insurance. The medical occupation has certainly one of those run away on costs that something must be performed. Take merely the further value to an OB/GYN time-honored practitioner for malpractice, a minimum of 50,000 a 300 and sixty 5 days. this receives handed on so having somewhat one is very on the high priced element. i'm uncertain there is incredibly an answer anymore wanting taking away congress and commencing over

I'd vote for you! Work for free, for the benifit of Veterans, only? Unheard of! In a truely democratic society--where we-the-people actually voted for ALL constituants and public servants, instead of having them APPOINTED by a representative, could that happen. Too bad, you still have my vote though!
Signed, a Disabled Veteran.

PS emil me at lowesttacommission@yahoo.com with VETERAN as the subject for some ideas that worked for me to get VA compensation. Give me a few days to respond, I'm trying to get my house ready to sell and have limited time, but I will respond. If you could, please let me know a little about your situation as well. Thanks, Greg
