Not one of us are unaffected. Anyone who pays taxes are having their tax dollars abused by illegal aliens.
Anyone who works is affected by depressed wages.
Our children are affected by the negative effects on education. All are affected by the financial havoc wreaked on the health care system.
There is no justification for the presence of illegal aliens. They should expend their efforts to improve their lives in their homelands, not our nation.

The Constitution never allowed the federal government to restrict air travel, but they do. The first immigration law was in 1875 and before that, like air travel, no one ever thought of restricting it. With a few exceptions, 1924 was the date that we began controlling it. WOP was used as a pejorative for Italians who were in the country With Out Papers. Numeric limitations by country ended in 1952 and the right of an employer to hire whom he likes ended in 1986. But border control has backfired. Since we have been controlling the borders, the number of illegals here has skyrocketed. Young men used to come here to earn some money to take home and spend with their family, because they knew they could come back and find work if they needed it. Now it is so difficult to cross, they bring their whole family with them and stay forever. We need to re-write the INA. Our policy of not permitting aliens to legalize once they are out of status was meant to be a deterrent, but it mostly just means we have to do an amnesty every 20 years to clear the backlog instead of issuing green cards and deportation orders on a case by case basis.

I think that we're probably only a million away! So by next week at the rate they sneak in, we may be a third world country! I do agree just needed a bit of a release there. You are right but I think we've all wised up to their BS and are ready for the deportation!

American Lives are not going down the toilet and if they are it's because they choose to.
I really don't see Americans going out there to pick fruits and veggies, clean hotels, sweep floors, or things of that sort because illegals took the jobs but because they don't want to. Americans now adays are raised to go to college not to go do the jobs I listed above.
The sad TRUTH is that some people won't accept that, they blame the illegals for having homeless people out in the street. But you and I know that homeless people wouldn't go out there and pick fruits and veggies or else they would already be doing so..
America won't turn into "just another 3rd world country" just because of illegals.

I really think the first statement you made is ridiculous. I really don't think American lives are going down the drain. Yes, a good amount are, and yes to illegal immigration I am sure however you are making them sound like terrorists.
I am not saying that your point isnt valid, however I feel the way you are stating it is making it seem as if they are killers, sick and malicious people. And to be honest, I doubt that all illegal immigrants are like that.
Yes many live off our country, and us as well. Yes, without a doubt, we need to rid ourselves of all illegal immigrants. However, do you really have to be so god damn dramatic. You act as if every single thing wrong in this country was caused by illegals. You should start bitching about the government, maybe that way they will change and kick them out, as well as improve our living standards. Yes, illegals have affected taxes BUT even before they were here there was a tax problem, therefore there will be one when they leave.
Other **** is wrong. Its not just them.
ps- like you said before "i am just a kid" and guess what? my education hasn't been affected at all. neither has my family. in fact, my cousin just left for Dartmouth, and she went to PUBLIC school in NYC. so uh. yeah.

I am sorry to have to say this like this, but, we are a country of opportunity. I think that if you can't compete with someone that can't speak the language and is illegal you perhaps should return to school. I don't see US citizens racing out to cut tobacco. It is long, back-breaking work. If your job is taken by an undocumented, then, apply to go back to school and look for grants (for displaced workers) to support your family while you further your education, and, then, your career opportunities.
I don't think that most American lives are "going down the toilet". If I had to give up a vacation every year so that another family could eat and sleep indoors, I would not hesitate. Period. My luxury is not a necessity.....
* And, my children aren't affected negatively. They have "superior" status, as, being fluent in both languages, they are asked to interpret for the teachers and other children. It makes them "admired" by the other kids.

I think they people not affected by this actually have nothing to do with this issue. So they wouldn't be here answering this question.
I for one, am affected by this. It made me want to support some type of reform because of what i saw while i was in Texas, and in Chicago, these people need help.

The only Americans "going down the toilet" are the ones choosing to do so.
This isn't our grandparents' America. Life is change--the people who learn to adapt will thrive.

you make it sound as if no jobs were ever created since 1965.
Look at the numbers, I know its hard, but look at the unemployment rate for the last 10-15 years...its constant at around 5%
look at census numbers, more and more people are flocking into cities and suburbs and less people are willing to do farm work and labor intensive jobs. There are more people going to college too.
