I'm planning to paint a surrealist mural on my car to include a tasteful and extremely stylized nude female. Since it's mostly a black and white and she's almost difficult to see in the over arcing design I would not consider it in any way pornographic. Does anyone know if this would be legal to paint on my car?

I am having a problem- I've been in this program called Sea Cadets since 8th grade and now I am going to be a senior. I made chief and have had lots of fun over the years, but now I have to start thinking about college. My parents want me to go college and do NROTC, which I know I could get if I tried hard enough, but the problem is I don't want to become an officer. I know it's a better lifestyle and all, but I'd rather go in as an E-3, do real work, and work my way up through the ranks as a career and try to make chief. That would be my DREAM. But the other problem is that I really want to go get a college degree. I'm second in my class and I know I could do good in college. Call me crazy, but I would really rather be enlisted on active duty. What should I do? I know you can get college degrees on board ship, but my sister is in the navy, and she says a lot of those so called "degrees" are BS. HELP!?

I don't believe that 911 were a "false flag", and this is simply a hypothetical question. What if it was found out that the 911 conspiracy theories were in fact true? What if the attack was actually planned out to get us into Iraq for oil? What do you think would happen if this became public and was shown as completely true? Would there be a revolution and uprising to overthrow the government or something else? How would you take it and view the government from then on? Also, remember this is just a curious "What If" question?

that the constitution states in the preamble that the goal of the rights and laws is to "promote the general welfare"? whenever someone wants to do something that's clearly malicious in nature, like neo nazi marches, people say it's there right. it obviously doesn't promote the general welfare, rather, it does the exact opposite.

also, we already partly outlaw that right in times of definite wrongdoing, like slander. why do people scream that we're infringing rights when someone does something just as bad, like promote violence

by the way, this is not an attack on america or it's policies, i'm simply stating the constituition limits the government. people like to think of the founding fathers as gods but it's not true. no one's perfect. the consitution can be important to our government, but it shouldn't control it.

If you are called to the stand to testify and you answer "No" to the question "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?" what happens? Is that a crime or can you just not testify?

What would the impact be upon the world if the United States adopted a true isolationist policy?

Think about it. We are so reviled the world over as nothing but trouble-makers, thieves and liar wouldn't it be better for us just to pull up stakes and leave everyone to their own devices?

I mean, no matter what, when there are problems facing the world who is the first one asked to lend a hand? It doesn't matter what it is, the United States is always asked to help. Would an isolationist policy be the way to go?

Or would it be have the opposite effect? If we isolated ourselves would we then be called selfish and uncaring for not helping when asked?

Is it a situation of damned if you do and damned if you don't?

I was just thinking about something......back in the Middle Ages, how long do you think it took for a soldier to be trained to fight in the army? How old do you think the soldiers were? Or did they just find some peasant and force him to join the army with little to no training?

And what about cavaliers and knights? How long did it take for a soldier to become a knight? And what are the prerequisites for being a cavalier? Knowing how to ride a horse? Knowing how to use a sword or other weapon very well?

Any feedback would be helpful.

Ok i was hit by a guy who failed to yield and when he hit me my minivan flipped over and know my back is all screwed up and ive had some minor procedures because of the accident. My lawyer and i have been in agreement to take the case to trial and then i recieved a letter stating that the insurance company has made a final offer and in the letter from my lawyer it said that they reccommend i take the offer and settle the case? Why would my lawyer all of a sudden change his mind and say to take this offer and settle? The last time i spoke to him we were in agreement, i dont get it? What do think is going on?

Sorry for the similar question to the one I just posted, but I'm looking for more responses, detailed ones would be good.

Under what circumstance would deploying a weapon of mass destruction against a civilian target benefit the United States of America? Even if we were attacked with nukes, what would striking innocent people accomplish?

I'm hawkish on all other military matters, but if nukes and other weapons are nothing more than a bluff, why don't we dismantle them? And under what insane circumstance would you have to come up with for there to be a precedent for using them?

I'd spend money on preventing nuclear strikes, missile defense shield, border security, etc. I'd never deploy WMD under any circumstance.

If you disagree, please state why, and please do it with civility.
