In the UK and USA (two of the largest scientific nations) stem cell research is ilegal.
Even though the possible applications for stem cell treatment are endless - from new teeth, ears, eyes - to correcting brain damage.
Many countries outlaw it because of the fact that fetuses are needed for the research on the strength of human sanctity.

I know that this question looks weird, but I have a reason to ask it.I was hired as a death squad in Argentina, Chile , Uruguay and Paraguay. During my trining at The School of The Americas, we were told that in the case we captured a pregnant terrorist, we must wait until the babie was born and then sell him to a family with no connection with the terrorists ( otherwise the baby would become a terrorist in the future). Of course, the mother was lately killed.Another aspect to consider was that that the terrorists had to be "missing people" so there was the need for an illegal adoption.I used to sell the babies for 10,000 pesos ( 100 dollars) , I bet that US Army officers are making a lot of money !Congratulations!

I have just heard on TV that "the police in Portugal are a few hours away from charging someone with the disappearance of little Maddie. Does anyone know who is about to be charged? -- I missed the rest of what SkyNews was saying on the subject.
Who do you think will be eventually charged ?

Apparently the headlines read "BRITISH SUSPECT TO BE ARRESTED IN PORTUGAL WITHIN HOURS !" WOW I can't wait to see who that is !!

It's pathetic that HMO's are a multibillion dollar industry who's primary goal is to reward shareholders. Ya, give me thumbs down. It's so sad that the rich get richer every time they deny you care and yet you actually think that's OK. You must just love paying hundreds monthly for your family plan so the Kaiser CEO can buy a bigger yacht. Why don't you republicans try getting your head out of your a** just once. Than maybe you won't cont to loose your seats in congress and senate and you preciouse president may actually have an approval rating better than that whopping 28% that the dumb a** currently has.

I have been sick for close to two months (while in bootcamp). I'm on leave now and my illness is now in my lungs. I have taken tons of cold meds and ibuprofen, but over the last couple days it has become hard to breathe. I cough a lot and my chest hurts. The nearest TRICARE facility is over 100 miles away. I just want to know if I were to go to the local ER for shortness of breath, would I end up getting billed because it's not a big emergency like getting stabbed in the chest?

I was not caught in the act of doing something illegal, yet a cop felt he wanted to search me. I asked him what probable cause he has, he couldn't answer. Later on he said "well you looked like you were doing something illegal" Well they found something on me. BUT there is a loophole the items should be thrown out of court. What should I do to ensure that happens?

You haven't gotten a thing right since Bush Sr. and that was leaving Iraq. You talk on every question like the republicans are reincarnations of christ and every liberal is the anti-christ. are you so arrogant that you can't see the error of your ways the past 10 years. you talk like the democrats are little children. what does that mean? can you not think of a decent reason why the democrats are wrong? I can think of plenty of reasons why the republicans are wrong, like not giving medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices, blocking universal health care, and keeping us in iraq just to name a few. So give me one, just one reason why republicans are better than democrats. when were republicans the peacebringers to ours and other countries when the democrats were wrong. all the democrat presidents have been great ones since FDR. and none of the republicans have been able to do anything right except reagan in his 1st term.

My name is Christian Von Wernich and I am a Catholic Chaplain, I am also Jailed as Captain Astiz, both of us worked for the interests of USA during the Argentine military Govt ( I dont know why many people call it dictatorship) as the first Democracy of the World , backed us fully.
I recognaise that I was present during torture sessions, but I always told the death squats to use not more than 180 volts during the interrogation of the terrorists.

I think what I am asking is; the person they raped and murdered or just a cold blooded murder that took a life that was pleading not to kill them, but did.... Is it fair even if they get the death penalty, that they die quietly in their sleep by lethal injection? They say its inhumane to do that to them, but it was VERY INHUMANE what they did to their victim. To me its not fair. I want to know what others think. To me its B S... But thats just me. Thank you.
