I don't think anyone has an opinion on this until they hear the September report from the generals. Of course, it doesn't sound like he'll be going before Congress. I've heard the White House will write the report. I think that is extremely odd along with many, many things Bush has done.

Absolutely not. Not funding the troops, even in an unpopular war, would actually hurt the Dems chances in 2009 not help. They'll cut & run from Iraq after the elections.

Dems are the party of talk and no action. They will never cut funding for the war.

The democrats don't have enough votes to do it by themselves. If it does happen they will have to give some republicans some credit for helping them.
