i cant find a legal definition anywhere for something called a take nothing judgment, which is a Texas thing. Can anyone please help me with this.

As used in several Texas cases, it appears to indicate that even if the party wins on the merits of the dispute, they get no monetary or injunctive relief -- they "take nothing".

It happens when the party has already been compensated from some other source, and therefore it would be unjust to award them "double-dip" damages by having the losing party pay them as well -- but it still allows the winning judgment to be entered into the record of other purposes.
