I'm planning to paint a surrealist mural on my car to include a tasteful and extremely stylized nude female. Since it's mostly a black and white and she's almost difficult to see in the over arcing design I would not consider it in any way pornographic. Does anyone know if this would be legal to paint on my car?

This is a surrealist mural including gears, vines, eyes, etc - the woman is very subtle - it is artwork, not a lascivious display. I doubt any reasonable person would be offended by it, I'm merely interested in its legality. I suppose I could paint a vine across her or something but it seems silly to compromise my art and bow to dirty-minded people if it isn't illegal.

No, it isn't. If you want to paint naked women, do it in your house. There's no need to put it on your car, so that when you drive around in front of little kids, they see it. You're a pervert for even wanting to show little kids a picture of a naked woman, whether it's "tasteful and stylized" or not.

Probably not illegal. I would imagine it depends on the state you're in.
It may be highly offensive and distasteful to many. You may want to consider that.
