President Bush has taken 423 vacation days in his time in office. Reagan has the current record with 436 vacation days.

Bush has been in office just over 6 1/2 years, and has already had well over a year of vacation time.
What do you think of this? Is it setting a good example for the rest of the country that the President has taken over a year of vacation in just over 6 1/2 years?

Ok, i work at a call center for a bank. As such we have a monitoring agent installed on our avaya phones which records conversations. Recently our manager informed us that the QA department could hear the conversations we were having, even when we were in Mute, and not on a call. She also stated that she would take action against these individuals if these conversations continued. Is it legal for my employer to monitor me when not on a call, and to take action against me for a private conversation?

I aslo don't agree with "Hate Crime" legislation due to the litany of existing laws that deal with assault and battery. Not to mention how do you legislate the reading of minds?

Does this equate to being racist?

Do any of you remember, or know, that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was serving his third term as President when he died? Did you know that it was after his term that it was decided to limit Presidents to two terms? Up until then a President could serve more than two terms,

As a NC resident, we feel the same way on Edwards. Except of course that Hillary served her term without quitting. Then again, NYers aren't fond of Rudy either. Are NYers outrageously harsh on their candidates or do you feel the candidates use your state as a "practice" for what they'd rather be doing (the white house)?

However if you can't vote for Hillary for her lack of caring about your state, and Edwards abandons anyone who elects him--who is left? Perhaps the next question can be how do Illinois residents feel about Obama?

If a home state hates you, perhaps the rest of the country should follow suit. (Please put if you are a Illinois resident answering about Obama or a NY resident answering if you are too harsh on candidates)

Marriage is a tradition in this country between a man and a women. If you change the marriage laws and open them up to more people, it because a slippery slope. The next thing you know, people are trying to marry their dogs. The marriage laws have never been changed in this country for this very reason. When you expand rights to a new groups of people, other groups move in and try for the same rights. Maybe we are preventing one group from the same rights as other groups, but that is okay as long as sacred tradition is saved.

God Bless

I can't remember the number of ignorant people in Y/A asking why Bush et. al. haven't been charged with war crimes and quite frankly it's getting old. So heres you're opportunity, please cite the specific war crimes commited, cite the specific law that forbids those supposed crimes and enumerate the list of real witnesses to these supposed crimes. Moveon.org isn't a valid source so don't even waste our time with anything they have to say. As the saying goes, put up or shut up.

If the "people" have appoint Congress, and only Congress can tax, then how are the IRS (A non-governmental agency), get to do so. When did Congress Grant Authority, when did the people vote on this, and was the legislation clear. If no records of these exist, then why are we paying a non-governmental agency our taxes? They also "enforce" tax code, and to enforce anything on a federal level, there must be proper "delegation of authority" from Congress and on public record.. I live in D.C and have visited the Archives, and U.S Dept of State.......No delegation of authority was available.....Hum..........What's really going on? Are we too smart...........or have we accepted bad government as a way of life?

With the current list standing at this
Mike Gravel born in 1930
Joe Biden born in 1942
Christopher Dodd born in 1944
Dennis Kucinich born in 1946
Bill Richardson born in 1947
Hillary born in 1947
John Edwards born in 1953 and
Barack Obama born in 1961

Now the Democratic party has their list of old guys who are just as much good ol' boy network right w/ the Republican old guys. However the front runners also happen to be the 3 youngest.

Hillary definitely looks a lot younger than Kerry & Lieberman did in their race (despite at the campaign, ages were close).

Edwards (pathetic as he is & I pray the DNC doesn't pick him and his lack of voting rec) is over 5 years younger. Barak Obama is the baby, not even 40 years old.

A large chunk of Hillary and Obama's chances rest on how many younger voters turn out. The lowest percentage of eligible voters that vote are those of us in that 18-25, and they need 18-35 year old turnout to beat baby boomer's old fashioned ways.

As a resident of New York State I can find little or nothing significant that Hillary has done as our senator in the six years she has served. Western NYS, for instance, was given many promises and much hope during her campaigns......but nothing has come down the pike from her. What do YOU think, my fellow New York citizens?????

Could it be the conservative values that are taught in public schools, you know, Love God Country and family, don't do drugs or have sex as a child?

Oh wait, my bad, none of those are allowed in today's oh so tolllllllllerant and open miiiiiiiiiiinded liberal run public indoctrination camps!!!! we know what's taught there! Hate God, America and mom dad and baby and apple pie! Do what makes you feeeeeeeeeeeel good!
Or is the vast "right wing" conspiracy to blame for the continued rise in drug abuse by children? Ya know, the rampant decline of married couples actually raising children?

Oh wait, it's a liberal policy to seek a career over raising your children! My bad again!

Dunno, but it's got to the fault of those pesky christians and their preaching! it's driving to do drugs right?

Gee wally, what could it be?!!!

Not sure if anyone has personal experience with my problem or may know a great place to look into this. I live in Missouri and have only recently moved here. My problem is where I live the parking is horrendous! It angers me because I live in a building that has four town houses. We have been here the longest and all three of our new neighbors have been here a month or so. Well, in front of our building are six parking spaces for the four homes. This one new couple (who have only one car for the two of them) have friends over every weekend (sometimes week days) and will take up three of the six spaces and we (my and my boyfriend) as well as the other neighbors (who we've spoken to about this) have to park across the street! I don't know if there is a law that I can have them towed or if I can confront the manager about this. Is there a law on having parking rights? Since we moved in the managers have said, Oh we'll mark everyone a personal spot, etc but nothing has happened! Any ideas?
