The San Francisco city government is attacking talk show Michael Savage as a racist regarding his opposition to illegal immigration. Only one member of the board of supervisors voted to block Mr. Savage from being condemmed.

The same board of supervisors commended Hugo Chavez for his democratic reforms for his communist take over of Venezuela. See the document at http://www.savage-productions.com/vote4chavez.html

Why do democrats in San Fransicko support Hugo Chavez and his communist take over of Venezuela, but they do not allow a talk show host to speak his mind about people moving to this country illegally?

Is freedom of speech only free to democrats when it is politically correct? Why can't this person speak his mind without fear of reprisal from the government? Will a lawsuit be the only way to test this illegal activity by the democrats in San Fransicko?

...is the rate at which officers are being killed while on duty the highest it's been in 30 years, in just the first half of 2007? I'd love to hear answers from all of you who think that we don't need cops, that they cost us too much money, etc.

...I read this in an article somewhere, and found it interesting, considering the huge amount of people who seem to think that gangs, drugs, and crime aren't a problem.

Was watching a program on PBS last night about the 1960's (although they did go into the early years of the 70's). They spoke with reverence of the shooting of the Kennedy brothers and Martin Luther King, but they seem to despise George Wallace who was also shot during that time period. Since George Wallace was also shot during that time frame, was is he not also remembered with fond memories?

Is the IRAQ war a repeat of the Soviet War in Afghanistan?

The Soviet war in Afghanistan was a nine-year conflict involving Soviet forces supporting Afghanistan's Marxist People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan (PDPA) government against the largely Islamic fundamentalist Mujahideen insurgents that were fighting to overthrow Soviet rule. The Soviet Union supported the government while the rebels found support from a variety of sources including the United States, Pakistan and other Muslim nations in the context of the Cold War. This conflict was concurrent to the 1979 Iranian Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War.

The initial Soviet deployment of the 40th Army in Afghanistan began on December 25, 1979. The final troop withdrawal began on May 15, 1988, and ended on February 15, 1989.

A warning to those clamoring to round up all illegal immigrants and ship them out — you could be killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

According to a New York Times story two years ago, an “estimated 7 million or so illegal immigrant workers in the United States are now providing the Social Security system with a subsidy of as much as $7 billion a year.”

Given that illegal immigrants are not eligible for a dime of Social Security, their contributions to the fund might be one of the only reasons it will be available when most of us retire.

The Times story went on to note that since the 1980s, the Social Security Administration has been stashing earning reports with incorrect or fictitious Social Security numbers in an “earning suspense file.”

That file has been growing by an average of $50 billion a year, generating some $6 billion to $7 billion in Social Security revenue and about $1.5 billion in Medicare taxes.

No wonder our borders are still porous.

like bringing honor and decency to the white house, to be truthful to the american people, common sense and conservative fiscal policies, compassion for america's underpriliged, leaving no child behind, the patriot act, hunting down osama bin laden, securing our borders, creating jobs here in american for americans, his katrina response, stabilizing the housing market, increasing the prosperity of regular americans so all can keep a roof over their heads, increasing america's influence throughout the world, bringing democracy to iraq, stabilizing the middle east, and making the world safer for us all.

When billy bob clinton brought nafta to our lives, he promised it to produce over 1 million jobs in the first 5 years. But the exact opposite has happened. Illegal immigration being allowed to happen has weakened american spirit. Especially economically where the middle class has been hit hard with jobs moving out of the country, and an average american worker trying to make ends meet, being replaced by a lesser paid mexican illegal. Enter the "trans texas corridor" or nafta superhighway that is being built. This will speed up the economic massacre that is occuring as we see it now. You never hear about this nafta superhighway on the news. It is being kept out of the public eye. Eminent domain will be enforced and people kicked out of their farms and homes so that 1 billion acres can be obtained to build this crazy highway. You taxes will go up to fund this project. The customs checkpoint will be in kansas city, hundreds of miles from the texas / mexican border. Does this alarm u?

Between 1992 and 2000, the Clinton Administration cut national defense by more than half a million personnel and $50 billion in inflation-adjusted dollars. The Army alone has lost four active divisions and two Reserve divisions. The number of total active personnel in the Air Force has decreased by nearly 30 percent. In the Navy, the total number of ships has decreased from around 393 ships in the fleet in 1992 to 316 today. Even the Marines have dropped 22,000 personnel.
