I believe in the rights of all citizens to keep and bear arms. I believe in protecting yourself and your loved ones against home invasion. I believe in the NRA. I believe that you have a responsibility to your loved ones to protect them. This is a great question!

There was a darn good reason that they guaranteed us that right, oh so long ago. It's funny because people who scoff at the reasoning behind the second amendment say things like it's outdated, and not relevant to today's world.
I say this to them: One of the first acts that Adolph Hitler did, after seizing power was to outlaw all private ownership of firearms.
Do you think those goose-stepping freaks might not have had such an easy rise to power, if they had to think twice about who had firearms?
I mean, the people who think the second amendment is no longer necessary really don't want to acknowlege the hard facts, and lessons learned in history.

Great question! and yes I believe we should hold onto every right that was provided in the constitution.
The gun is also a equalizer for those that may be attacked by a stronger or more than one attacker.
On that note I'll also say that law enforcement is not always able to be with every single person every second and may not be able to respond to an emergency before loss of life.
Most criminals strive to carry out such acts in secret to avoid being caught.
Cameras may deter crime but it has yet to stop or provide a defense during a violent act.

I like it. My piece remains secure and I feel better knowing that I have it if I need it. Then again, I am also military trained and know how to use it. Also, I'm pretty responsible and mature about it.
I believe that if the government takes firearms away from the general public, the only people that will have access to guns are criminals... who don' t get background checks as it is... Therefore, with the general public armed, it keeps the criminals a bit more honest... You never know when you are breaking into some old lady's house and there she is with her shotgun...
People who want to acquire firearms should be educated and responsible. Guns are not for the everyday average person. That's how accidents happen...

It is the Ammendment that liberals want to remove at all cost or regulate to no end by the government.
Yet they don't want the government to regulate their pet projects like abortion should not have any regulations what so ever. If one is suggested they say this will bring back the back alley abortions and coat hangers.
I say leave the Bill of Rights alone.

It is statistically proven that gun ownership in the hands of a trained person is a crime deterrent.
My father always had guns, several throughout the house. Loaded. We had 6 of us kids in the house. He taught us all how to use and respect them. There was never an accident.
The idea that weapons should be hidden from kids is what gets them killed because when they do find them, they don’t know them or respect them so, they accidentally shoot themselves or their siblings or friends.
The ONLY reason a government would want to strip the right of gun ownership from its citizens is so they could never fight back when that government turns totalitarian.

I believe that all citizens have the right to bear arms. I also believe that convicted felons lose that right. I don't think guns kill people, I think people kill people. I also totally agree with background checks, but think that it should be an automatic process with no waiting period.
