Daniella, Mija, don't listen to the uninformed people complaining that you are illegal. I understand what you are trying to say. You are tired of people talking behind your back about you being illegal and think you do not understand English and what they are saying. You are also saying that you are doing everything you can to give your family a better life and doing it as right as you can by paying your taxes, learning English, and paying your own bills without govt assistance. Amen! You are doing better than a lot of people I know who are American citizens and have lived off the system since birth.
To anon - your an idiot. Not all marijuana is grown in Mexico it is acutally grown in Columbia and Hondurus and shipped through Mexican borders with the help of NAFTA. And more Columbians and Hondurans have been approved for greencards and citizenship more than any other country. Why? Ask our federal govt - doubt you will get a true answer. And the MS13's originated in Columbia/ pay attention.
HLBellvino - no you do not need a credit card or bank account to get internet access - maybe for dial up - but not in every state, I didn't need one and I am a natural born white redneck American. Hmmm - Go figure.
I hope you will be able to apply legally soon and can help keep these uninformed and comeros de chismes silenced once and for all. God Bless you darlin'

WE are a land of immigrants!!! Legal entry is the way that has been given a wholehearted support and most of us have seen the hardship our families were made to endure but they came for the opportunity that was here to be earned. This country gives help to those who came the right way and worked hard. They were given protection from those who would exploit "new Comers" They are now being put at a disadvantage by the illegal immigrants who are subject to abuse and exploitation by those who operate outside the LAW. There are always those who will take advantage when you have no rights under the law. Fear and Intimidation

I back immigration 100%! Legal immigration that is. Illegals are a HUGE drain on our economy. Between health care, education, welfare, and prison/jails it is overwhelming. I'm sorry if your government is corrupt, and there are no jobs. But we here in the US have are own issues to deal with.
Illegals DO NOT want to intergrate. So having Spanish speaking teachers is a must in some of the poorer areas in California. I have a friend who had to remove her son from school because he was one of 3 kids who didn't speak Spanish. That is unacceptable!! Please don't give me that crap about no health care either. Everyone knows you just have to go to the emergency room to get medical help. That is the reason so many hospitals are over overcrowded, and why so many are going bankrupt. This is going to big one of the BIGGEST issues in the up coming election. The problem will be addressed, and it will get fixed.

"Illegal means Illegal" speeding is too ya know.....
If YOU CAST THE FIRST STONE THEN CAST THEM ALL.
Immigrants run the whole construction of this country, what about food, and agriculture? I wan to see you out in the 100 degree weather picking some (anything agricultural) for about 5 or maybe 6 dollars an hour. I'd like to see people stop taking wealth fare, and work some construction..... I am becoming a citizen, and it makes no sense to deny a driving license, come on, you can easily track them, keep records, and have safer roads. The government needs to do something. yes a technological fence, yes that is possible, and then an amnesty to some degree, if you've ever been arrested, especially DUI, guess what Deported my friend.... easy as that. But George W. is more concerned about war.

If you want to be an American you have to ACT like an American. Learn english so you can further yourself and understand how the laws and country work. What gets me mad about illegals is that some of them come into this country and expect us hardworking Americans to hand everything to them on a silver platter. Americans have good lives because we had to work for it. Take my grandpa for example. He came from Mexico with nothing but the shirt on his back and the pants he was wearing. He, HIMSELF, taught himself how to speak, read, write, and understand english. He was WILLING to make an effort in this country. He worked hard and it took him almost 15 years before he became an American citizen. He loves and respects this country for what it is and what it stands for. Why some of these illegals can't do the same I don't know. I am how ever, willing to help those that WANT to better themselves. I'll go out of my way to help them. But if you are here to have everything handed to you hand and foot, and expect US to look out for their kids, go home! Sorry that is just how I feel. If my grandpa can do it, so can everyone else!

Just curious, if you are struggling so much, how is it that you have a computer and Internet access? I am an American born and raised and I KNOW how much computers cost , and I also know that you need a checking acct or credit card for Internet access.
You are exactly the problem. Working a job that would pay a decent living wage to an AMERICAN if you and yours wouldn't work for peanuts. You are apparently making some extra income somewhere. Statistics say many of you are involved in illegal drug trafficking, perhaps you have a second job? Go back to Mexico and DO SOMETHING about the way things are. How do you think we get things accomplished here? We work our a**es off! You should try it sometime. IN YOUR OWN LAND.

If they had nothing to eat for months how can they remain alive? Surely the money for the smuggler could have fed the family for a very long time. How does the family with nothing survive seeing it would take at least 3-4 weeks to be in a position to forward any money to Mexico?

To give a very short answer: As a mother who is sitting here looking at her 4 month old daughter right now, I can honestly say there is NOTHING I would not do to make sure her basic needs were met. For myself, no I wouldn't do anything, but for her? I guarantee I would do anything, and I wouldn't think twice about it.

If you're an illegal, your problem is not my problem. You are not supposed to be here in the first place. Why do you and other illegals burden the American citizens with all your problems and then whine and demand for more rights and more entitlement programs from us? Go back to where you came from and demand things from your own government. One easy thing to do is stop having babies when you can't afford them (duh). Educate your fellow illegals about the cost of having babies. I am an American citizen, waiting to be financially stable to have just one baby. Get real, illegal. I do not feel sorry for you, just for your kids who will not know right from wrong since their mother is a criminal.

To answer as honestly as I can. I could never watch my children dying of starvation. It would be unethical. If a parent would sit by and do nothing they don't deserve to be a parent in the first place.
