As a NC resident, we feel the same way on Edwards. Except of course that Hillary served her term without quitting. Then again, NYers aren't fond of Rudy either. Are NYers outrageously harsh on their candidates or do you feel the candidates use your state as a "practice" for what they'd rather be doing (the white house)?

However if you can't vote for Hillary for her lack of caring about your state, and Edwards abandons anyone who elects him--who is left? Perhaps the next question can be how do Illinois residents feel about Obama?

If a home state hates you, perhaps the rest of the country should follow suit. (Please put if you are a Illinois resident answering about Obama or a NY resident answering if you are too harsh on candidates)

NY resident

people do not run for office in NY without having big political aspirations. Because of NY's role in the foundation of the country and its large influence stemming from the first congress people will use it as a stepping stone.

Hillary was not a bad senator but she made some enemies by coming to a state where she was not a resident and simply using her husbands name to win a senate seat without ever having any political experience.

I gave up answering dumb hating Hillary questions, that's why I didn't answer. In fact, (pointless as this will be) NY re elected Hillary in the upstate predominantly Republican area of NY with 61% of the vote. She was considered such a shoo in that they didn't even bother to field a worthy opponent.

Rudy is a different story, hes been flying around bragging about his great 9/11 response but the firemen hate him and blame him for their great loss of llife in the disaster. Because he knew of the problem with communications and did nothing except call the firemen whiners. Over three hundred died in 9/11 because they could not get or send messages.
He did not run for reelection that year because of the terrible scandal about having his wife and children tossed out of the mayoral mansion so his mistress and now wife could move in. I just couldn't vote for a man who kicks his wife out of bed so the new whore could be brought in. And for the record I didn't like Bill for similar reasons, but at least he never paraded Monica around. The equally nasty Republicans did that.

Don't forget that there's a reason Mitt Romney didn't run for re-election as Governor of Massachusetts. He would've had his well-coiffed head handed to him by Deval Patrick (and they talk about Edwards' hair?) and his Presidential dreams would be in the landfill with his father's.

i hate to tell you, but as a former new yorker now living in raleigh? yeah, most people love hillary in ny.

the senate has never been the forum for large states to get local benefits. in ny especially, if you want local help, you go to the house of reps.

that shows county by county, that hillary was pretty well liked.
