Depending on the crime you have been convicted of, you could talk to your PO and see if you have any options, perhaps even might be considered to be eligible to have your record expunged in the future. A good PO will want to see those that are assigned to them succeed in life.

Also consult a college counselor to see what the requirements are to continue, not only in your chosen major, but a 'real-life' job with a conviction on your record. And to those smart-aleck responders, there are attorneys who got their law degree while in jail...

Many places will make individual determinations depending on the type of crime (some white-collar, like tax evasion, versus drug dealing).

Everyone deserves a second chance. So far you're doing good.

I don't think you can do that. Once convicted of a felony it's there for life.

WITH THE GENERAL SHIFT TOWARDS MORAL LAXITY,AND IF YOUR OFFENCE WAS,NT OF A SERIOUS NATURE,THEN IT WOULD DO NO HARM TO ENQUIRE OF THE LEGAL PROFFESSION IN YOUR AREA.DIFFERENT STATES HAVE VARYING ATTITUDES TO THINGS ,BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR REHABILITATION FRIEND,SURELY A REFORMED CRIMINAL HAS MORE IN COMMON WITH THE PEOPLE HE HAS GROWN UP WITH,.
