The reason i'm asking is I am 34 years old, I tried to join the Military when I was 18 (Army and Marines) but I was declined
because I had a GED Instead of a HS deploma . I never lost the desire to join.and serve my country but i think I am too old to be drafted and I still just have a GED. Any one with insight.

I'm so sick of patriotic Americans abusing their first amendment rights by engaging in hate speech against Islamofacists, illegal immigrants, and other enemies of the United States.

I consider myself fairly open-minded, politically moderate, realistically iconclastic... etc.

My question is this: Conservatives are often discussed and seen as being closed minded. I can understand this when talking about the far right in particular, especially the religious right. What I fail to understand is how people that say "All conservatives are evil" - "All men just want to put down women"- "Anyone that doesnt think George Bush is an Idiot is stupid" - goes along with the idea of open mindedness.

I feel like i hear just as much closed minded nonsense from the far right AND the far left.

Anyone agree?

Several research studies have shown that Great Britain has a significantly higher percentage of Radical Islamists than the USA . I think we all saw the studies a few months ago that indicated something like 25% of Britain's Muslims supported terrorist bombings . Most research also indicates that 10-15% of Muslim Americans say the same .
Britain has about double the rate of the USA .

WHY ?

I know a family (a mom with a daughter and a son) who live in LA illegally. We know each other, but not close at all. I just know the mom's and her daughter's name, that they live in LA, and which school the daughter goes to. I also know her myspace. That's all.
I love this country (the US) and sometimes I feel I want to do something to help and feel the need to report them to government or to the police. We all know we need to reduce illegal immigrants. But thinking about reporting them sometimes makes me feel horrable because it sounds kinda mean. If you were me, would you report them tho? And if yes, how? And can we report this kinda thing anonimously?

Was it because there was nothing in it for them politically?? No political gain in crying for the dead Iraqis? Even now some are still claiming our troops are murdering innocent Iraqi civilians (though they're actually defending themselves against al-Qaeda's foreign insurgents).

Yes another SAS question...
So would a former member of the Regiment come on here and answer questions or are they miserious gods that go of to secret wars that you will never know about or become bodyguards cos they're invincible or do they become ex soldiers and just get on with life, Kids and the Wife.
Sorry to rain on your parade but SAS Soldiers are around you can you spot them is it him or him normally is the bloke you would have never thought.....
They meld back into society boring but true......Highly trained but they will kick it on the boards with everyone else......
So is Violator a Sh!tter or real you Decide?

The employees in Sub registrar offices in India take bribes for almost all the sale deeds. They exploit loopholes in the system and regulations to garner huge money for themselves. We have an independant nation for 60 years. What Governments have done to plug these loop holes and ensure bribe free system. Why do these employees be left free to fleece the public. The information available on the departmental and district web sites is almost nil. Are there some groups who are working in this direction. When our developing country will develop transparent system.

I saw someone call another user 'crazy' or something because he didn't believe what the user had posted as Sharia Law . It seems that some people are either in blind denial or simply don't know .
So I thought I'd ask you ladies if you know what your rights would be under Sharia Law .

Or better yet , what rights won't you have ?
