Do the results today mean that for the next national poll, Mitt Romney will lead over Guliani? My opinion is that the straw poll will have virtually no lasting effect.

My friend and I had a long debate as to weather or not an individual can ( with official books, videos and the internet) train himself to be the equivelant of a U.S. Military infentryman. He said its possible, I have my doughts partly because of all the teamwork involved. Any input is very welcome to help our debate, But anyone in or who have been in the Military please put your spoon in.

I'm anti-abortion and anti-war, but I don't think it's hypocritical to oppose abortion and support the war on terror because abortion and war are two separate issues. Why try to reconcile them?

The California State Park Rangers at a Park identified themselves as police officers. Is that OK since they are Park Rangers Law Enforcement. The DEA agent identified himself as a police officer, is that OK. The California Highway Patrolman identified himself as a police officer off duty. Is that OK. The point is since all these officers, agents, rangers are responsible for law enforcement duties and police criminals, they are all Law Enforcement Officers, so I guess there would be no criminal act for them identifying themselves as police officers off duty or maybe sometimes on. Correct

are you ready to go off the cliff with them, like a bunch of lemmings? They're arguments are not supported by fact. They promote lies as the truth. Before you go off the cliff with them make them show you credible facts, because they can't. Then after you see them for what they are, we will welcome you into the republican party.

Sexual harassment is a big deal, Company "X" says, you can't touch and you can't look regardless. Your intentions may mean one thing, but your EYES say something else? sounds to me like Fahrenheit 451 (1966) Or and religious cult owned company.
So how much weight does this carry in court? What man doesn't like to look at a woman? But company X say's makes no difference! YOU LOOK, YOU GO TO COURT! PERIOD!
Guilty until prove innocent, Ya think? And I'm not a sexual predator thank you!
So at company X, I now look at the ground when I talk to fellow employees and customers. This rule at company X applies to ALL employees. Your EYES can NOT WONDER while in conversation!

Would you want to be convicted with the same kind of "proof" that you have against Bush on WMDs?

Can anyone cite me the raw intelligence that Bush said "left no doubt" that Iraq had WMD in 2003?

Or is the "left no doubt" just the lie that Bush added himself.

The Iraq war is now a hard core right wing war (the 32% that still support it) & if it is lost they are the ones who are going to take the biggest fall & they know it & it will be to a bigger enemy than Al Qaeda. It will be the biggest lost conservatives have had to the libs since Roe v. Wade & they will do anything in their power to make sure that US troops don't leave Iraq until at least Bush has left office even though they know the best US troops can do in Iraq is stalemate.

Which to conservatives is certainly better than a loss to the libs, only US troops will continue to be killed for conservatives benefit. Is that what patriotism means these days? Cover you own a*s?

I am leaving for Army basic in 10 days. I have a daughter from a previous marriage and am remarried. My daughter will be staying with her dad for the 6 months I will be gone. I have joint custody, he sees her every other weekend. He is really mad and saying that i will not be able to move out of state with her Army or not. Can he do anything? Can he try to get custody while im in basic/AIT? And if he does try at any point do you think the fact that I am in the military work for me or against me?

98% of all US wars that have taken 6+ years to try & win have NOT been won.

Bush/Rove/Cheney know this all to well which is why they know the war in Iraq is going to be a loss & all they need to do to not to get blamed for that loss is to keep US troops in Iraq until Bush leaves the White House in 2009, at which time, he can hand his Iraq disaster to the next President & not have to take the blame for losing the war.

And better yet if Hilary is the next President she will look like the one who lost the Iraq war which will make her look really bad & the GOP look good again.

But while all this is going on US troops will continue to die in Iraq. Does that seem right to you?

Before I leave to the air force, i am wondering what the first few days be like in the aiforce?

2007-08-11 14:28:55 · 5 answers · asked by Raymond G 1 in Military

a success or not?

-Is there a deadline date?

-Is there a certain number of terrorists/insurgents that have to be killed?

-Does the civil/sectarian war have to stopped?

-Does Iraq's borders have to secured?

-Does Baghdad have to be 100% secured?

-Do Iranian & Syrian supplies to the insurgents/terrorists have to stop?

What will determine the success or failure of Bush's Surge or is it really just giving Bush more time to cut & run from the White House in 2009 & not have to take the blame for losing the Iraq war?

i have a friend who is a foster mother to both eight month and three month old babies..there's apparent favoritism in which case she treats the eight month old significantly different from the 3 month old. (i guess the older one looks like her ex boyfriend and so on..) she constantly leaves her foster babies with her 15 year old daughter who has obvious freedom issues. she also drops off the three month old baby with unauthorized adults. i've come to love these children with all of my heart and realize that this isn't the foster mother for either of them. my sister works for the state and would love to have these children as her own. How would i go about having these children taken?
