Yes, it's purely politics.
Bush can't even come up with creative excuses anymore -- it's just a mindless repetition of "stay the course".

At this point the loss of this war can be blamed on the democratic congress, due to the fact that they are limiting the supplies to our soldiers, along with the fact that they have rules of engagement. I know this because I have family there and friends who have come back and said that they are not allowed to shoot them.
However you are on to something with the failure of this war falling onto the next president. It happened to Nixon during his short time as president. He inherited the war and was blamed for the failure, when in fact it was Johnson who sent our troops over there to fight in a civil war. Kennedy introduced the conflict, but it was Johnson who initiated the deployment. We had no reason for being there, because it was a civil war. We were not protecting any interest of ours, it was just that the manufactures here who made the heavy equipment for the military were going broke because there was no war going on, so there was no need for equipment and they were going broke, so Johnson decided to send all those boys over there and die so that all those manufactures could get rich.

He's been playing politics with the lives of soldiers since 9/12--keep U.S. citizens afraid enough, and they will blindly follow into a misguided war in Iraq. Meanwhile, they will re-elect you, and you can call yourself a "war president"...and say that anyone who disagrees with you is unpatriotic. Yeah, it is undeniably part of the plan to leave the quagmire in Iraq to the next administration...and then blame them for the eventual pull-out (and then the resulting unbridled civil war Iraq). If it is a Dem who follows Bush, that will just be gravy for the Bushies...
By the way, check your math...I don't think we've been in 50 wars of over 6 years...and only won one of them...then again, 64.327% of all statistics are made up...

Bush and his right wing buddies have been playing politics with the lives of others since the moment they came into office. These people use our troops for cheap campaign shots, then get all up and sanctimonious about supporting the troops, then ignore them when they actually get hurt.

he's enjoying politics. He knows of he basically has some months left in place of work, and it particularly is an attempt to alter the standard public's theory of him. that's an glaring attempt to glean some recognition for himself interior the history books and between the vast majority of the yank people who rightly see his Presidency as between the worst in our history. Too little, too previous due.

The Republicans will blame everyone but themselves! They are the only ones to blame!
It is time to leave and let Exxon cut their own deal!
A change in strategy is warranted as Bush never had one!
Even Bush, the liar, is saying he never said "stay the course"!

Yes. 9/11 gave them /him, an excuse to invade, but iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, despised al qaida, and posed no real threat to the U.S. or it's people.
It is purely politics and personal, oil, money, and his dad("Remember these are the guys that tried to kill my dad at one time..") He can't even come up with good excuses anymore(Stay the course)

Nope, it is just a clean up operation. Setting up the new country, something like that. Changing their constitution to humane standards.

playing politics? hmmmm.......everything every politician in DC does is political...every word, every action, every move. They "play" politics 24/7. No comment, position, or decision is made that isn't "playing politics" on every issue. Even when they complain that someone is play politics, they are playing politics.
