the father pays cs but is also ordered to pay 68% of child care costs and he is sending no extra money for that. can i get a higher cs payment and how would i go about doing that without a lawyer? me and our child live in OK and he lives in NY.

This question has always plagued me. I grew up in the upper south in an area that was almost 99% white and poor. There were about 3 democrats in the whole county. What is up with that?

By definition it would seem to me that an illegal alien should be deported to their homeland and be encouraged to enter the good ole US of A by using the legal channels. My grandfather came from Europe by way of Ellis Island and became an American citizen legally and America became his homeland of choice. He was proud of his Swedish heritage but he was definatly an American. He learned the language and had a true sense of pride to be an American.
WHY are some of our politicians trying to make illegals "legal" and why are these people not REQUIRED to learn the official language of our country. Why must THEY be accomodated (as in "press #2 to spanish) when they aren't bothering to learn the language of the country that they now live in.
I would like to hear from people that have, what they think, are valid reasons as to why these people should be allowed to stay and shouldn't bother to learn english either. clearly, there are many that don't WANT to learn!

I have watched MSNBC many times, and I watched Pat Buchanan and started to like the guy. He reminds me of the right kind of conservative, a traditional conservative, who is a real conservative and not a phony. I think he is real smart and wise in the political arena, but I am not sure if he would be better at President than the spot he had in the Reagan administration, however.

I worked for a large retail chain until yesterday. I was very ill, vomitting and shaking-nearly falling over. I asked the manager if I could get a bite to eat and he told me to go upstairs and get a candy bar. He said I was not allowed to take a lunch break, even though I was working 10:30-6:15. I went and got a candy bar and sat in the break room. I called my boyfriend's mom to ask for advice. The whole time I'm on the phone, the manager walks in and out in and out. My boyfriend's mom even speaks to him on my phone. After 15 minutes of weighing my options, he interrupts and tells me that I'm an adult and I need to get back to work. Then he asks if I am physically unable to work. I say yes, aboulutely. Then he says that there are 5 people in my department (working) and I need to finish my shift. Then he says if I go home, I resign. So, I walked out.

If someone is physically ill, isn't it their right to be able to go home? What if it were serious? What if I were diabetic?

It wasnt until the fire of conservative talk radio emerged that youth violence really emerged( the 1960s protests were long forgotten). Even the VTech murder talked up a conservatrive pro-god game on the day he lost it. Why?

Okay liberals, here's an honest question that doesn't required a paragraph of how much of a neofascist, Bush loving, poor people eating, money grubbing Nazi I am. It's a simple question for those that think they can answer it: How much more will I pay in taxes if liberals implement universal health care coverage? Most of you rant and rave about health care in Europe and Canada, but you fail to mention their ridiculous tax rates. So why should I pay thousands more in taxes each year for something I'm already paying for on my own?

Let me ask you this. If when you were a fetus in your mothers womb, and your mother decides to have an abortion, would you know the difference? Would you feel anything physical or emotional? The answer is no, you would never even know. Killing an undeveloped fetus in its early stages of life is completely acceptable to me. I think its ridiculous that so much controversy revolves around this subject.

I'm not implying that it was the sole reason , but when you're trying to find a solution for a problem that formerly didn't exist , it is rational and logical to back-track to search for changes that may have contributed . It's the same thing done in criminal investigations .

as a sixteen year old, i feel like i have to save up a little money in the summer for future needs (ei. college, computer, etc...)

so i work at chicken express, a fast-food restaurant that serves chicken and such. so i'm working my shift making mashed potatoes and gravy, and a girl comes up to me and asks me if i know spanish.

i tell her, "yea, sort of," and then she told me that they need me in the front. honestly, i only know what spanish i have been taught at school and i'm in level three which is good enough to wiggle myself through a decent conversation.

so i get to the front and immediately a hispanic women asks me, "puedes hablar en espanol" (can you speak spanish). i tell her, "solomente un pocito" (only a little bit).

so i try my hardest to translate her order to my co-workers and in the end, everything turned out alright. the lady told me 'gracias' (thank you) and i replied 'de nada' (it was nothing).

the feeling i got from that experience excites me still!

I have a 3 disk DVD collection of the old Victory at Sea television show. I've found many references online stating that these shows are public domain, but the DVD set have a copyright notice and the FBI Warning at the beginning.

What part of these DVD's would be copyrighted, and what part public domain? Would I be allowed to copy only the TV shows off the DVD's and give to someone?

What takes so long for police officers to clear an accident?
If i am driving down a highway and see an accident there are
3 or 4 squad cars at a fender bender or one car crash, and half of those officers are standing around chatting, and while this is happening, traffic is stacking up. Could you please explain to me why this is? Why does it take so long to clear, and why so many officers to do a scene? I could understand if it was a fatality, but 99% aren't.

The Supreme Court decided long ago that it is unconstitutional to deny illegal immigrant children an education. The average cost per pupil / per year is ~$9000.
They also decided that the Emergency Hospitals must treat all illegal aliens, no matter what the problem is, whether or not they can pay. Therefore they use it as a "medical clinic" for all maladies - bad colds, bee stings etc.
This is all at the cost of the taxpayer, which does not include the majority of them, since many work under the table. Some do pay payroll taxes using a phony tax i.d. and claiming the maximum amount of dependents. That's where their tax paying ends other than sales tax.
So much for cheap labor. It's cheap for the companies that hire them, but the middle class taxpayers subsidize to provide medical benefits that the companies do not provide and educational benefits guaranteed by constitution.

If we allow ALL the people to come to the U.S. that want to - legal or not - would they still want to?

Even with the outcome seemingly correcting the problem there still is the matter of what would have been the outcome if it was a twenty five year old who had been arrested for crack a year ago and not a 92 year old .
False statements and planted drugs they even found a shotgun in the house and discharged it at the door to make it seem as if she had fired on them .

The truth is the police state is already at hand .

Ok, I live in the Conservative South, and we have long been known for "Southern Hospitality".
Women are referred to as "ma'am", doors are opened for them, and everyone is pretty much nice to everyone else, in general.

However, I have traveled a lot, and have been to northern, more Liberal areas such as Vermont and new York, and it seems to me that people from these places are nothing but jerks. You can't even get the time of day from someone on the street, and if you call someone "ma'am", you get a feminist tirade about how being nice is apparently sexist.

Is it just me, or do Conservatives just seem to be more amiable and nice than Liberals? Now, don't look mainly at the Politicians, because Politicians act however can get them elected. ( For instance, say Dick Cheney and Nancy Pelosi are both major jerks, but Reagan and Clinton were both nice-guys)

Just based on voting populations alone, do you think that Republicans are just nicer people?
