Yes, he is one of the few true conservatives still left...he is also one of the few people that can carry on a conversation about issues without resorting to name calling and smear tactics.

Some things like taxes and the size of government I really agree with Pat Buchanan on, but I do not agree with his foreign, immigration, and cultural policies. I am a moderate, but I respect him for being more civil than most.

He's definitely a paleo-Conservative, but he has a strong Libertarian streak as he endorsed U.S. isolationism during WW2.
To answer your question though, I'd have to go with no. Conservatives differ from Neo-Conservatives in that the former hates big government spending, while the latter does not. There are PLENTY of Conservatives that are P!SSED at Bush for spending like a drunk Democrat.
Classical Conservatism is alive and well.

There are many many prominent conservatives that wield considerable power today. Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, President Bush, Vice President Cheney, former Congressman and (hopefully) next President elect Fred Thompson.

sure --- i became a Detective and recalled that some years in the past Pat Buchanan wrote a newspaper column for ny every day information entitled " Procedural blunders " the place he commented thet our criminal equipment did no longer seek for real innocence or guilt yet somewhat hunted for a " Procedural blunders " someplace made via a Police Officer, Assistant District lawyer, obligatory reserving workers , courtroom Officer, Correction Officer, etc. A yellowed replica of that column hung over my table for years and it particularly is as real right this moment because it became while it became written 25 + years in the past.

I voted for Pat a couple of times..he and Gingrich are students of History..
Pat disliked the Bush machine..yet supports the Presidency
as an institution...something more people should do..
Bush was willing to compromise when he came into office..
it's a shame..that gridlock and sideshows are the rule of thumb from the desperate hysterical libs
