No one can guarantee those things regardless of political affiliation. The world has never known true peace and I seriously doubt that it ever will. Let's be honest here, most people cannot get along with all of their neighbors, much less the whole world.

Neither Democrats nor Republicans will solve terrorism.
If you want to know about terrorism, you have to do a lot of readings, regarding Islam, especially their fear of the suffering following death, study about the social, economical and political situation of these countries.

And poverty is nothing new in the world. We are just more aware of it due to medias.
