If so, what do they check?

I am majoring in Finance & Accounting and I would like to enlist in the Marine Corps. when I graduate. I would love to work in Intelligence, however I have heard that even though I can sign up for it, I may not get it.

Someone told me that there is a way to guarantee in your contract that you work in the specific MOS you want. Is this true? I know you can preference several MOS's, however I have a feeling that if I sign up and request Intelligence as #1, I will just still be put into Financial Management.

Is there any way I can guarantee I work in Intel or at least something else?

Last year i wrote a NSF check. On a wrong account Thnking i had money to cover that the amount was 25.00. A year later i get a thing in the mail summing me to court. I showed up to court the judge was a female very rude, inconiderate, unpolite. Not just saying that she had a tone in her voice that was unprofesional. As well as raised her voice to me. I was trying to be polite to her i pleaded quilty cuz i did do it and yes was a mistake on my part. When she asked me how i plead i said guilty, then she asked me a did i have funds to cover this and i was once again trying to tell her and she rudly interupted me and told me im sending this to trail and not accpting my plead. I dont want that women to be my judge again. HOw do i file a complaint against her. I dont know if race had a factor, it did happen in all white community. But i found her behavior unethical for someone of her status. I just want to plead guilty and move on with my life. how can i remove her from my case.

We know the Dem's reinterpret the Second Amendment ("...Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms...") as NOT being an individual right, but meaning the National Guard can have weapons.

But now the Dem's are going after the First Amendment (free speech) by implementing the "Fairness Doctrine" in an attempt to hamper or stifle talk radio.

Is our Bill of Rights dying before our eyes? Are the Dem's simply going to twist the laws in order to criminalize their political opposition instead of compete against it through free debate?

Sean Hannity has become so intimidated and angered at Ron Paul for saying that Fox Noise is run by corporate criminals that Hannity has suggested Ron Paul being banned from ever being covered on Fox News, because he is angry Ron Paul got it right and he is angry that someone is finally speaking out against their BS and he refuses to ever cover Paul on his time slot. What's funny is Ron Paul is the only true conservative running for the Presidency and the rest are either liberal Republicans or corporate puppets or both.

Concert tickets are too expensive to spend on a musician who has substance problems and cannot perform as advertised .
Who should be held accountable the promoter, performer or the venue ?

Seems to me a lot of new laws are harsh, with ridiculous mandatoring sentencing, and sometimes even in conflict with our Constitution. If you sit on a jury and they want to throw some 18 year old in prison for 20 mandatory years because he slept with his 16 year old girlfriend, is it not your duty to refute the law and hand in an innocent verdict? Perhaps admonishing the D.A. as the same time?

Say for example you have a few large gaps in your employemnt record...is there a good way of filling these in that cannot be checked by a employer? Can you for example say you ran a business during that time?

Is there any good way around this problem?

Ps..I know this is immoral, but isn't being unemployed and hoping for a employer to employ you "gaps an all" more immoral?

illegally and the politicians who allow it to happen. We have no idea of the background of these people. Many use up benefits without having paid into the system that provides it. It is clearly against the law and not in our best interest.

Where is the RACISM in that statement??

CHARLESTON, South Carolina (CNN) -- South Carolina primaries are all about the base. That's true for both parties.
The Clinton campaign has been trying to surround its candidate with the aura of inevitability: "Face it, she's going to be nominated. Better get on the bandwagon now.''

The CNN-YouTube debate in Charleston, South Carolina, Monday night could look like seven against one: seven Democratic contenders trying to challenge Clinton as "The Inevitable" -- and competing with each other to become "The Alternative."

NO I'm NOT talking about global warming caused by man.

I'm talking about a strong economy, rising incomes and rising tax revenue caused by reductions in the tax rates!

Yahoo search & news are the first sources replaced and I'm searching for another internet provider to replace ATT / Yahoo.

The censorship / lost accounts have made Yahoo a website you cannot trust - something I've always feared and had in the back of my mind ever since it was reported they work with the Chinese Communist dictatorship to prosecute and jail anyone critical of their regime.

I will soon close my remaining accounts when I can transfer my email to another provider.

Don't allow Yahoo to profit off of their pro Chinese totaliterian, anti American, anti White Christian censorship in the political, immigration and other boards.

I have some questions about global warming?
Many of the posts I read from people who say global warming (or global change) is real say "many scientists BELIEVE it is real", or "the majority of Americans say it is real (70%)"
Don't we need MORE than opinions, even if they are the opinions of experts?
Also, do you feel we need more EVIDENCE, indisputable evidence? Not like in a civil trial, where we say there is 55% of the evidence one way, and only 45% of evidence the other way, so we will say global warming is real.
.
Last question, is it even possible to prove it is real and that it is caused by humans?
If this issue is REAL, then it is one of the greatest issues facing our planet.

PS- DON'T tell me it is HOT OUT, so global warming is real, as it is the middle of the SUMMER!!!!!

Thank You for the time!

In Northern Virginia, Loudon County in particular, there is a real immigration issue. The area has expanded drastically under Bush's War economy and many illegal immigrants built the infrastructure the residents use daily, the homes they live in, the stores they shop in, and the recreation centers they play in.

Do the folks in new exurbs like Northern Virginia even care who physically built their community? Now they are banning illegal immigrants and their children from parks and libraries, free services to the public.

Does this seem fair or unfair? Is it right?
What do you think about this, there must be other places in America with similar situations.

I don't condone illegal immigration, but it takes years to gain citizenship, I think. It seems like cheap labor is exploited and then they are treated like criminals.

I work for a large coorpation & for the last 4 years loved going in daily. Better still, I never ‘worked’ a solid 8 hours ever. I would say the max work I did on a given day was 50% while the average was 30%.

The other time was spent on personal e-mails, internet, socializing, etc.

To sum it up, I was a top performer in the company due to their own disorganization, shined among clueless morons, and knew how to act like I was working.

Anyway, the workload has changed in the past 6 months. With people leaving, firings, etc it has come down to more work for me.

My dispute is after 4 years of coasting, I don’t feel my employer can expect me to double my work efforts overnight. They should realize that emotionally, a person needs to gradually increase workload. After all, it is their disorganization in the first place that caused this.

As odd as this seems, do I have a case if I contact the labor board?

Anger over NHS plan to give addicts iPods

DRUG addicts are to be offered gift vouchers and prizes on the National Health Service under plans by the government’s medicine watchdog to encourage them to stay clean.

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) will recommend the system of inducements, which could enable clinics to offer televisions and iPods as prizes, to tackle the burgeoning drugs problem. But patients denied drugs for blindness, Alzheimer’s and lung cancer under Nice rationing are likely to accuse it of wasting public money.
