credit rating is what they are after. Don't worry about driving records. If you have money in the bank, a job, there's nothing to worry about.

You can not finance a vehicle without having insurance, full coverage insurance. Your ins. agent will care about your driving record and may have such high rates that you won't be able to pay for both. But if you wreck that car after having dropped ins., you are in for bad times. Also the ins. company will report to the financial institution that you have no ins. They can repossess your vehicle as you are not following the criteria set for the loan. So either way you look at it, your driving record will come into play.

The car dealership doesn't care about your driving record, it's only the insurance and drivers license they care about. If you're record is bad, you can still buy a car through financing as long as you have the license, insurance, and a legitimate job to make the payments.

No they check your credit history but will have to verify that you have auto insurance (comprehensive) before your financing is approved.

No. But they will check your credit and possibly your insurance record which would show large or frequent claims.
