illegally and the politicians who allow it to happen. We have no idea of the background of these people. Many use up benefits without having paid into the system that provides it. It is clearly against the law and not in our best interest.
Where is the RACISM in that statement??

Eddie - You are so wrong. The Supreme Court decided long ago that it is unconstitutional to deny illegal immigrant children an education. The average cost per pupil / per year is ~$9000.
They also decided that the Emergency Hospitals must treat all illegal aliens, no matter what the problem is, whether or not they can pay. Therefore they use it as a "medical clinic" for all maladies - bad colds, bee stings etc.
This is all at the cost of the taxpayer, which does not include the majority of them, since many work under the table. Some do pay payroll taxes using a phony tax i.d. and claiming the maximum amount of dependents. That's where their tax paying ends other than sales tax.
So much for cheap labor. It's cheap for the companies that hire them, but the middle class taxpayers subsidize that to provide medical benefits etc. that the companies do not provide.

*I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed.
* *Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. *
*But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. *
*Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table...everywhere. *
*Then some of the birds turned mean: *
*They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. *
*And others birds were boisterous and loud: *
*They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. *
*After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. *
*I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. *
*I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. *
*Soon, the back yard was like it used to be...... quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal. *
*Now lets see....... our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. *
*Then the illegal's came by the tens of thousands. *
*Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families: you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor: your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English: Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to press "one" to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than "Old Glory" are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. *
*Maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder. *

I agree with you. The ones who are paying taxes are either using a stolen SSN or some fake tax ID. Coming here illegally is already breaking a law, but then using fake documents or stolen identities is fraud. So while it is great that some are paying taxes, they still aren't doing it legally. Americans for the most part have a great life compared to people that are coming here illegally... but we all know that streets here aren't paved with gold and our citizens need to taken care of first. We may not be the hardest working country, but we the most powerful, and there is a reason for it... and letting illegals in, isn't it. It is a drain on our economy, and it is impeding on our way of life. Many hospitals in LA, and other metropolitian areas are having to shut down because of the lack of payment for services being performed. Illegals have no health insurance and can't afford to pay out of pocket, but they cannot be denied treatment. If the hospitals are being paid for the services, they are losing money, and when it runs out, they shut down. Doctors, nurses, and other hospital personnel are forced to find other work places because they cannot be paid for thier work.... It isn't just affecting the hospital either, but those around it who do have insurance... they have to drive further to seek medical treatment and depending on how severe the situation, people can, and do die on the way to another hospital... All I am saying is that the illegal aliens who come here for a better life, I can empathize with, but it is hurting us as a country more than it is helping us. Helping people is great, but we need to take care of our own first...

John Adams, as president, wanted to shut down opposition. It was the worst political decision he made. It overshadowed all of the good he did as president and he was not elected for a second term. The administration is upset because this memo got out. I am upset that this memo was ever distributed to law enforcement agencies. It is not the first time this kind of nonsense has happened. And it is not limited to the Democrats. But it is a threat to our freedoms and I hope it backfires on this president. I have a lot more respect for John Adams.

Immigration in any country is subject to the sovereign laws of the country. Based on this.....entering this country is illegal whether you be from Mexico,Canada or the British Isles if you did so without proper authorization and should be treated as a crime. You are welcome as long as you enter legally. If I just showed up in a foreign country and stated 'here I am, and I'm staying' I would expect to get booted.

Your statements are not racist. There, that make you feel better? However - your grasp of history is pathetic. We've seen illegal immigrants entering this country since it became a country - and a great many of them rose to be some of our most productive citizens. Sure, some became a drain on society too, but you couldn't have determined, the day they snuck in, which would be which as the years passed.
Background? What would be an acceptable background? There was a fellow from Scotland who came here with his 16-year-old wife a number of years back, and nobody did a background check on him. In Scotland, it was later learned, he had been a labor organizer who'd been involved in many illegal activities and was wanted by the police.
Should he have been busted and sent back? Well, I dunno: see, his name was Alan Pinkerton, and he established the agency that still bears his name today - the Pinkertons are one of the most respected security agencies in the world today. Look 'em up in your copy of the Yelllow Book...
No, I'm sorry, accusing these immigrants - illegal though they be - of "using up benefits without paying" is flat wrong: they find work as fast as they can, and actually pay taxes at a higher rate than native-born American citizens!
Like I said - your comments were not racist, but they did demonstrate a sorry lack of true understanding of the issues.

Bottom line, the illegal aliens have broken the law when they came here. They have no rights. They are criminals for breaking the laws. While they don't directly get welfare, their anchor babies do. They do get "free" medical - free to them but WE PAY FOR IT.
I hate it when people scream that this country was built by immigrants. True, it was built by LEGAL immigrants.
In addition, while we are all humans, it is NOT our responsibility to take care of them. I don't want to "just get along" with them. This means that WE take care of them and they sponge off the taxpayer.
Illegal immigration has nothing to do with race. It is about the LAW!

There is no actual racism in that statement. The part about many immigrants using up benefits is pretty much rhetoric. It is propaganda aimed at creating the idea that illegal immigrants are creating the problem, when in fact it is those that lure those same immigrants into the country with promises of work and monetary gain.
The problem is not so much the fact that illegal immigrants get freebies from US taxpayers as that US taxpayers do not receive similar benefits when they pay for them.

Right on brother.
We also need to change the laws making any baby born in the US an automatic citizen. Before a baby born here would be an American citizen, then at least one parent must be an American citizen.

This shouldn't even be an issue.
What you need to ask yourself is "AM I A HUMAN?"
Forget about borders they are just imaginary lines. Forget about the idea that our resources are going to "run out" because of a certain group of people using them all up. We live in an infinite universe that will provide us with everything we could possibly want or need. In a sense some of the people in government are almost making it illegal to be human. Some would like you to believe that everyone who lives beyond our imaginary borders are evil and want to rape and pillage everything we hold dear and true.....or at least have that mentality.
If you were dirt poor and you had to no way of making a living where you were right now wouldn't you do everything in your power to get to where you wanted to be?
EVERY human should have that right. No laws should ever be permitted that keep humans from living a better life. Despite geographical location.
everyone needs to break away from the mentality of "us and them"
There is no "them"....there is only "us"....
Life is not black and white, good guys and bad guys, good and evil, Democrats and Republicans...It's all just a bunch of non-sense to keep people separate from each other.
200 years ago nobody had a "background" that could be reviewed and judged. The more people cry out for security the smaller every ones world will get. Eventually leading to RFID chips in people and cameras in your houses. Do you want that?

That's not racist. It's practical. I live in California and the schools are failing. The h.s. drop out rate is 50% in some districts. Why? Because so much $$ is being spent on illegals who don't have medical care, send their kids to school here and don't pay taxes on the money they make. It is against the law and I don't know why it's been allowed to go on for so long. I want my kids and grandkids to get a good education like I got.
