Fed up with being part of a group that cuts off a person’s face with piano wire to teach others a lesson, dozens of low-level members of al-Qaeda in Iraq are daring to become informants for the US military in a hostile Baghdad neighbourhood.

I'm in the Air Force and have talked to dozens of military members coming in and out of Iraq. Stuff like this has BEEN happening, but it seems like there's almost a deliberate effort on the part of the media to mute any good news coming out of Iraq.

I am starting to believe that Liberals want us to lose this war, as it would give more political power to the Democrats. I also believe that any support that Liberals give the troops is totally fake; they'd be spitting on the troops if they could get away with it like they did in the '60's.

This is what my nephew who is on his 3rd tour in Iraq has been saying all along. There are a lot of good things happening in Iraq but you will never see the American media reporting it. I agree with some of the posters. Good news does nothing for the anti war, anti military in Congress.if the libs are so upset with how the war is going in Iraq , I wonder how they will feel when it comes here.

If things turn around in Iraq before the next election, it could not be worse news for Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Osama Bin Ladin and the democratic party.

Kind of makes you think, doesn't it?

The surge is working, decent Iraqis are fed up, the Sunnis and Shiites have stopped most of their fighting and have joined together to fight al-qaeda.

This is the end of the socialist domination in the democratic congress.

People turning against each other is not a sign of progress when it comes to nation building, I'm afraid.
