I am majoring in Finance & Accounting and I would like to enlist in the Marine Corps. when I graduate. I would love to work in Intelligence, however I have heard that even though I can sign up for it, I may not get it.

Someone told me that there is a way to guarantee in your contract that you work in the specific MOS you want. Is this true? I know you can preference several MOS's, however I have a feeling that if I sign up and request Intelligence as #1, I will just still be put into Financial Management.

Is there any way I can guarantee I work in Intel or at least something else?

Officers do NOT enlist, and no, they don't really have control over what community they get.

enlisted personnel, DO have some control in that they can guarantee training in a specific job field after Boot Camp, providing that they meet all the requirements for said job.

in order to work in intelligence..you have to have some first...all your questions can be answered by a recruiter..why ask perfect strangers who will tell you bogus crap in the first place..I think you are just a kid looking through stained glass and dont know what your future is..look..go see a recruiter...these people may or may not have the answers you seek so why fill your head with more questionable information? "someone told me"..means you have no clues at all...sorry...
