As if the Republicans have been completely supportive of all our rights.

No, there is no right to die in the United Kingdom. The bill that was before Parliament failed and was not able to pass the reading stages in the Commons. I don't think there has been a second attempt. Plus, most medical practitioners find it a very slippery slope and wouldn't want to engage in acts of euthanasia!

The "Dems" didn't re-interpret the 2nd Amendment. The Supreme Court decided long long ago when it determined that the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply to state regulation. And every federal circuit (except the 5th and DC) applies the "collective rights" interpretation -- and most of those are conservative circuits.
As for the Fairness Doctrine, yes, it's obsolete because we no longer need that kind of protection. But forcing stations to give all opposing sides air time is still not censorship.
Trying to blame it on the party you don't like is not going to solve the problem. We've lost far more rights out of the first eight amendments under Republicans in the past 5 years than we've lost because of Democrats in the past 50.
So, yes, we're slowly becoming the land of the un-free and the home of the scared. But it's not a partisan issue, and even if it were, the Democrats are not the party primarily at fault.

I am a Dem and I believe in the right to bear arms. I am also an objectivist in regards to the fairness doctorine. News is not meant to be biased or tainted, it should be clear, untampered, and objective. After we the people have obtained the hard facts we should be able to make up our own minds as to what we just learned. News outlets like Fox News claim to be news but in fact, they're just a bunch of right-wing posterboys who are delivering not news but propaganda. That isn't news and that is why the fairness doctrine desrves to be revived.

Politicians have been manipulating the Bill or Rights for a long time.... When the constitution was written and the bill of rights... as an example "the right to bear arms" it was giving the people and that's spelled "PEOPLE" the right to bear arms.... politicians need to go back to school and learn it again....

Pshaw, thats nothing.
Hillary Clinton is promising to take the oil company profits for the public good, which is almost EXACTLY what the 5th amendment prohibits.
And she is promising that while she's CAMPAIGNING. If thats her campaign promise, imagine what she'll do to the bill of rights if actually elected!

Let's be fair now, the Patriot Act took a big chunk out of the Bill of Rights, too.
Actually, I think the real question is; "Is their any life left in the Bill of Rights?"

Elect Rottenham Clinton and you will not only see The Bill Of Rights die, you will see her kick them in the face and laugh. Remember her statement right here on Yahoo that she was going to do away with the Bill of Rights.

Yes it is. But it is not just the Dems. The liberal Republicans are helping plenty. Look what the war on drugs has done to our civil liberties. The 4th is gone.

Thats exactly what they are doing. They are quick to create imaginary rights when it suits them too, like the right to murder unborn children. Makes one wonder why people are so stupid as to keep voting for them.
